WOULD NOT RECOMMEND. AVOID!

My Daughter took out a holiday insurance policy with Coverwise, unfortunately she had to make a claim. The claim was made back in August, she was asked to provide further supporting information which was provided promptly. When she didn't hear anything she followed it up by calling to be told her case would be looked at and she would receive an email. When no email was received, she emailed them to enquire, they did not respond to the email. My Daughter continues to call weekly to ask for updates. Every time she calls the operator says they will ask for the case to be escalated, she will receive an email. Never any email/contact received. She is still continually having to call every week asking for an update.
Coverwise have an insurance broker who your file is passed onto when you make a claim, however, as the policy was purchased from Coverwise I would expect Coverwise to step up and help resolve this matter. At the end of the day its Coverwise who are getting a very bad reputation.
I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND COVERWISE TO ANYONE. MY FAMILY WILL NOT USE THEM AGAIN AND WE WILL TELL FRIENDS NOT TO USE THEM.

Not worth even 1 star

Not worth even 1 star. Total scam. My and my husband passports were stolen and they didn't pay me any claim. They told axa insurance is paying claims. Given all the details including police report. But I didn't get any claim. Both coverwise and axa are fraud. So please never ever take an insurance with coverwise or axa. They won't pay you anything what ever the situation is. I don't know what is the use of this insurance company. They are just taking our money and if we submit a claim they will ask us to wait for 10 working days and then they will decline it. Such a stupid insurance company. I feel regret for taking this insurance. I had to pay lot of money for transportation, had to change my flight due to this stolen passport. But this rude insurance company didn't even pay me 100 pounds for passport. Total scam and fraud people. Then why this insurance company. They should be banned.

AVOID

Awful company, I went skiing in January and fell over and dislocated my shoulder had to pay my medical bill of €662 euros, contacted cover wise sent them everything they needed to process the claim. At first was told 7-10 working days nothing happened rang back then told up-to 20 working days that has been and gone and I’ve still not got my money. Then was told it can take up to 60 working days complete waste of time. AVOID I went with this company because it was abit cheaper I certainly won’t do it again just pay abit more for a better service.

I booked a holiday with Love Holidays…

I booked a holiday with Love Holidays and paid the higher deposit of £125. I subsequently took Gold plus cover with Coverwise travel insurance which cost £58 for a single 10 day trip but thought that buying the best would ensure complete cover. How wrong I was!! SIX weeks before I was due to fly I was diagnosed as being class 1 diabetic with a very high blood count. With other serious medical issues and in consultation with my GP felt it unwise to travel and paid Love Holidays a further £82 to cancel the holiday, making a loss of £199 including further charges. I called Coverwise who told me they would need a letter from my GP confirming my condition which I got and paid the practice £30, the cost was now £229. I sent the cancellation invoice from Love Holidays to Coverwise which sponsored a flood of emails amongst which was a requirement for me to print off Medical Certificate to be completed by my GP at a further cost of £30, the loss was now £259 of which Coverwise would not include the £60 doctors fees. With the maximum claim being £199 less Coverwise excess of £50 leaving £149 as a maximum claim less £60 in doctors fees the resulting claw back of £89 is paltry compared with the overall cost of £318 including the cost of the policy! As their expected time to process the claim is 3-6 weeks I abandoned the claim in favour of getting on with my life.
As you will note this outfit has a dreadful reputation according to others and their resulting 1 star approval rating.
IF I HAD LOOKED AT THEIR REVIEWS ON TRUSTPILOT I WOULD NEVER HAVE BOUGHT INSURANCE FROM THEM. Their entire intent is make it expensive and difficult to claim.
AVOID DOING BUSINESS WITH THESE COWBOYS!!!

Terrible customer service

Unfortunately we haven't had a good experience at all with this company. Our son got chickenpox at the end of our 10 day stay in Lanzarote at Easter so we couldn't fly home. AXA insurance are acting on behalf of Coverwise and even though we have provided everything they have asked we have still had no claim resolution, despite numerous phonecalls, and letters from them saying they have resolved our claim. We then hear nothing and they ignore our emails.

No insurance information via the customer service

I got a confirmation on the website, but no email. I called the customer service and I was found in the system and told that my insurance is in place but it is going to be investigated why I didn't get the email and I will receive a call. Didn't happen. Called them again, this time I was instructed to just send an email with my issue. None of my questions was answered. Something that should have been automatic, was a total waste of time.

- The reason why you didn't receive the order confirmation email was because you had entered it incorrectly. This was then rectified once we got the correct email from you. All our order confirmations are fully automatic.
