Slow delivery - good product - not a scam

The play couch we ordered took longer that originally advertised though did arrive when the confirmation said it would. The sofa itself was a hit with my 2 and 4 year old.

Not a scam though no reply to any emails so a little worrying when waiting for it to arrive

Product is great, customer service was ok

Leaving this review because I saw the other reviews and felt very nervous about dealing with the company. Having received the product, my kids absolutely love it and felt it was only fair to leave a review so people aren't put off from dealing with them.

I gave them 4 stars. Realistically I would break this down into 3 stars customer service and 4.5 stars on product. Only reason for the reduction on the product side is the packaging is not very impressive. You could tell this is a company in its infancy who haven't really considered how they want the customer to feel on opening the product & how to manage the logistics of that.

Customer service wise. They committed to a 6 week delivery time from order. About 4 weeks in I saw these reviews and got a little nervous and contacted them for an update. Appears to be no real proactive communication strategy. They told me it would be dispatched "next week", which surprised me a little as that would mean it would be early, but the site warns about potential delays. The order didn't turn up in the next week, so I contacted them again to which they basically said it would "be next week". It ended up turning up in the 6 week window they originally committed, but I had the impression that they really didn't have a clue when it would be dispatched.

Also, when the order shipping was confirmed, it was being sent by a totally different company name. There was no communication about this. When you google that company, you can see it's effectively their manufacturer. In other words, the product is shipped direct from their manufacturer to you. I can see how, from a business point of view that makes sense and keeps costs down. But there needs to be much more thought put into the customer journey from the point of order to delivery.

Website looks great, product is well produced, kids love it, materials are high quality and durable. The only thing they need to work on is that customer experience between point of order and point of receiving the product and they will be golden.

TERRIBLE END TO END

terrible customer service. I wanted to cancel the product even before delivery as they were taking ages to deliver, but they told us we needed to receive it to start a return, which make no sense. After getting the delivery we contacted several times them to ask for the return and the ignored us. No response howsoever.
Now, forcing customers to receive goods to ignore them when asking for returns make more sense.
We even tried returning the box to the address on their invoice at our own expense and they REFUSED IT!
They clearly don't care about customers and just want to keep the money.

Didn’t deliver

There is a real market for playcouches in the UK as products like the Nugget in the US are really popular. So I was excited when I saw this company. However, after ordering on Black Friday (promised delivery before Christmas) nothing arrived, I chased in Jan and told it would arrive that week. Three weeks and several emails later I had no reply. I was beginning to worry it was a scam. I then raised a dispute with my bank to claim back the money and the next day I got a reply to my email saying they were unable to deliver and would be refunding me. I’m not sure if it’s a scam, I think they might just be out of their depth with customer support/deliveries - but either way I would not recommend.

Potential scam?

Very difficult to get hold of customer support, item was due to be delivered before Christmas but still hasn't arrived. Glad I paid using PayPal as I'm starting to think we got scammed.

This is NOT a product review

This is NOT a product review. This is a service review. The reason for two stars is the difference between advertised dispatch times pre-order and real dispatch times given upon order completion. Cowch suggests items to be dispatched in 1-2 weeks. On order completion (i.e. after payment has been taken) Cowch confirms dispatch in 5-6 weeks. Not a showstopper for me, but, bluntly, it doesn't fill me with confidence when they can't be upfront and honest with regards to dispatch times. That is an integrity issue, and I don't much care for questionable integrity.

Not a Scam in Our Experience

I'm not sure what went wrong with the other people reviewing but we have received ours.

it was delivered towards the end of the 8 weeks just in time for Christmas. (today)

it was a Christmas gift, so I can't comment on the use of it, but we have unpacked it to let it regain its shape as it's tightly compressed.

And it looks just like the pictures.

it has got a bit of a flat shape so think it needs some time to regain its full shape, but it does have a 30 day guarantee so am confident it will be perfect.

Scam

Scam. Ordered 1st December and it said the couch would be shipped in time for Christmas. Lacklustre support team confirmed it would several times but date kept slipping and now it clearly isn’t coming before Christmas. Now I have to work out how to get my money back. Avoid at all costs.

I ordered this sofa which clearly stated pre Christmas delivery, but after receiving the order confirmation it showed 6-8wk lead time. I tried contacting you via email to understand, discuss or cancel the order with no response for several days now. Not impressed
