I purchased an Atmosphere sofa in white bouclé along with the Cozey Protection+ plan. The couch was delivered in May 2025 but wasn’t even set up until July 2025. Within less than a year of actual use, the fabric became rough, greyed, heavily matted, and uncomfortable to sit on across the entire set. What was especially concerning is that the deterioration is not limited to seating areas. The fabric has visibly degraded between the modules, along the backs, sides, and top edges where nobody sits. The texture has become frayed, flattened, and abrasive throughout the entire couch and ottomans. When the sofa was first received, the fabric closely resembled the original swatch — soft, textured, and bright ivory. It now looks completely different. I’ve attached comparison photos showing the current condition beside the original fabric swatch. The sofa has only had normal residential use. No harsh cleaning methods have been used — only regular sitting, vacuuming every other week, and occasional spot cleaning when necessary. This was especially disappointing because the bouclé fabric is marketed as “pet friendly” with a 100,000+ rub count, which created an expectation of significantly better durability. To Cozey’s credit, customer service was polite and they approved replacement covers through the Protection+ plan. However, I paid approximately $240+tax for the protection plan itself, and was then informed the replacement would still cost nearly $300 because the $49 replacement fee applies per module. What made this more frustrating is that the initial customer service email stated that the “replacement cover kit” would cost $49, which reasonably sounded like a single replacement fee for the full set. Only afterward was it clarified that the charge was actually $49 per individual module. While I appreciate that Cozey responded and offered a resolution path, I’m ultimately very disappointed with the durability of the bouclé fabric relative to the cost, marketing, and overall expectations for a premium sofa. I have many more photos
