I bought this runner mostly to add colour to my bedroom and it does just that! The colour is called PEONY so I wasn't really sure what shade of pink I'd get.The pinkish squares are actually sort of burgundy wine-coloured, but muted, so I got the pink effect that I wanted. It's beautiful, actually and that checkerboard brings life to the room. Love it! I'm repeating the following for each rug I purchased: I decided to go with Cozey for these reasons: Cozey is a Canadian company, there are a lot of choices and the prices are fantastic. I bought 3 washables - 2 runners and one 5x8 for $454 CAD, tax in! And they're all gorgeous. The packaging was amazing. The rug and the soft tiles to keep the rug in place (plus it adds some padding). Each rug has corners underneath to fit over the tiles so they don't move. Once the rugs are in place, they're easy to move around to reposition, but not slippery. I am thoroughly impressed with this company - very professional.
