Worst support ever and the most greedy company Ever since WebPros — a subsidiary of CD&R (Clayton, Dubilier & Rice) — took over WHM/cPanel, the platform has gone downhill fast. Prices are skyrocketi... See more

From paying $35 to paying $124 per month overnight. Would you work with a company that did this? me neither.
Long Time cPanel user
I've been in the hosting industry since 2000 in one form or another, and using cPanel almost as long. I've watched them go from nobody to 'industry leader' (as in, every host uses them). The support has always been nominal (sometimes taking months to get a critical fix put into stable, or admit it even needs to be done), but prices reasonable.
June 2019, that is. For an industry leader to announce such a greedy price change (from a minimum double, to sometimes hundreds times current price, depending on your situation), effective IMMEDIATELY is just ridiculous.
I've talked to hosts who have gone from $35 to $900/month for ONE SERVER, simply because greed.... Come on, cPanel, you can do better!
Their response to the (natural) user outcry? Hilarious. No, really, it's freaking hilarious. They sent users a survey with the following questions:
Who is your current cPanel & WHM license provider? (aka: help us identify who's selling the most)
What are you paying monthly for each cPanel & WHM license now? (aka : how much are you underpaying)
What percentage of your revenue are your license costs currently? (AKA: now, we just want to be nosy and know how much you spend on everything)
What percentage of your revenue will your license costs be after the move to the new structure? (AKA: Can we maybe charge more)
cPanel was a leader in the industry, and the horrific way that it just abused ALL of it's customers, and the entire industry is just appalling.
Don't even consider it
Don't even consider it. They want a piece of your business, plain and simple.
Horrible Software
Switched from ClusterCS hoping that cPanel is no 1 control panel and many like it but it does not work on our Cloud but not scalable like ClusterCS or Atomia.
Do not use this, Money wasted. #cpanelsucks
The pricing is unacceptable!
cPanel has made a terrible decision in making their pricing 'per account' when they've profited since day 1 by allowing unlimited accounts per server. What does it matter how many users per licenses are used, the licenses are for the SERVERS not the accounts on the server. It's like if Windows/Apple charged you extra for every user created on your workstation.

Horrible, just horrible! They are full of things and just because of a IP similarity I'm required to give them my ID and the middle numbers of my card. That is so stupid! Never going to use cPanel again. I'm moving to Plesk, much more better in my opinion!
