Crack Maths has been an absolutely invaluable resource in helping me pass my Functional Skills Maths Level 2 with an unbelievable to me, 92% (59/64) score.

I got an E in my Maths GCSE when I was 16 and as I've grown older (35 now) it's become more of a regret and embarrassment and I wished I had put more effort in 20 years ago.

So I came to this exam wanting to prove a point - that your GCSE's don't define your present or your future. I hated maths all my life because it scared me and as a 35 year old I didn't know anything other than the absolute basics and even they were rusty, and I didn't even know my times tables Embarrassing!

I self studied for the exam by initially going through the CGP revision guide, but was lost after completing it, not really knowing how to track my knowledge against what I needed to know and unsure what my next steps should be.

Then I came across Crack Maths via a Reddit recommendation and never looked back. Iain's put so much work into his resources and honestly they enabled me to achieve such a high score. His video explanations, practice questions and scenarios and past paper walkthroughs were priceless and so incredibly helpful. The other thing that was a game changer was his topic list - that is the topics/areas I needed to know to take and pass the exam. I converted this into a spreadsheet and was then able to identify stronger topics and weaker topics. I could then rate confidence levels for all 70 topics and track my practice questions results.

This was such a game changer that really helped me revise in an efficient and targeted way.

A massive thanks to Iain for everything he's done so far with Crack Maths. It's quite literally changed my life. I'm confident with maths now, and I even actively enjoy it!

I used the website and he YouTube channel and passed my level 2 functional skills last year. Great videos and he explained lessons in a easy way to understand.

I want to work for the NHS but unfortunately my maths GCSE grade wasnt within their criteria. Crackmaths helped me incredibly to pass my functional skills level 2 in my late 30s. I tried many platforms to revise and study for the exam but crackmaths was the only one that was at my level and pace. I watched every YouTube video, studied everyday and passed with a 75% pass mark. This site is amazing the free resources that they share on Tic Tok Instagram and You Tube Tutorials are amazing and their study books are outstanding and very reasonable. I used their study material for my revision for my level 2 maths exam and passed with 83%.

After finding out I had had just 3 weeks to learn and pass a Functional Skills level 2 maths exam I searched the internet desperately looking for help- and I’m so grateful I found Crackmaths.

This (unbelievably) free website taught me everything I needed to pass. It’s easily laid out into clear bite size sections, with videos showing ‘how to’ and questions in both direct and scenario styles- the scenario ones are particularly useful for functional skills exams.

There are links to Crackmaths YouTube, books you can buy to support learning and even guides and walkthroughs of all major exam boards past papers. This site has EVERYTHING you need to pass.

What really stands Crackmaths out from others though is the teaching style. Iain, the founder has a way of delivering the information in an easy to understand and logical way, it’s both a simplified yet quicker way to ‘get’ maths. No long winded explanations, no confusion; just clear explanations delivered in a friendly and calm manner. I was petrified of maths before, but Crackmaths makes it not only manageable but enjoyable.

I can’t thank Iain enough for putting these resources into Crackmaths- I would not have achieved this qualification without his brilliant tutorials. I start university tomorrow as a direct result of Crackmaths, and I say that with immense gratitude as it’s a life changing opportunity. Maths was my Achilles heel but Crackmaths got me over that hurdle and in an incredibly quick time frame.
