The best day making an axe for my Viking enthusiast son! Richard was very supportive and taught my son a few new skills ! Will definitely be rebooking with him 100%. Couldn’t recommend the craft course enough. Thanks Richard!
I did an 'air dry clay mould' course.
I did an 'air dry clay mould' course.
I was welcomed by Jan and she explained what was invovled as I had never done this type of course before.
I was offered a drink and snacks during this 2 hour session.
She showed me a large container full of different moulds so I could pick out which ones I would like to use. There were so many to choose from - flowers, nature, decorative edging ones etc. I made quite a lot of items, so now I have to wait until they are completely dry, before painting and varnishing them all.

We had a fabulous day with Will
We had a fabulous day with Will, learning new skills and techniques. The books we produced, with their copper covers, were very special and individual as we had used our own designs. Will was patient, attentive and very knowledgeable. We would highly recommend this experience.
A lovely day on this course
A lovely day on this course. Great location in the woods with constant bird song! A pleasure to meet Peter and hear his passion for woodwork and see his skills. Also nice to see another course (gate making) on the go and see what other courses involve. A wonderful day outdoors learning to use tools and new techniques. Highly recommend! Thanks so much
What a lovely day
What a lovely day! Bill was an engaging, insightful and patient teacher. I feel like I absorbed so much fascinating information during the day, and though I'm a beginner, I never felt foolish when asking questions. So refreshing.
The venue for Bill's new workshop (Ysgol Llawr Betws) is fantastic. Beautifully kitted out workshops and very picturesque setting. He's clearly worked extremely hard at getting everything set up there to make the experience for learners as accessible and relaxed as possible whilst having access to some serious professional standard machinery and materials.
Bill's sensitivity and respect for his Welsh heritage was reflected in the fascinating pictures adorning the work room and the beautifully crafted Welsh stick chairs produced by recent students. It really is very heartening to see a Centre with courses and tuition of this calibre being established here in north Wales.
Thanks for a really enjoyable course, Bill, I definitely have an eye on your future programmes. I wish you every success in this venture.
Superb glass fusing experience with Crafty Diane
Diane provides all the equipment and skill required to enable beginners and more experienced to create beautiful piece of art. Diane is encouraging and gives plenty of ideas to help you put your own ideas in to your design. A relaxing and enjoyable day loved making my own glass fused garden ornament. Brilliant day thank you.
A really peaceful and interesting day…
A really peaceful and interesting day learning the traditional art of bowl turning in the woods. Incredible location, great teaching and just an all-round lovely experience.
Just an amazing day.
The settings were amazing, the barn was great with the sun flooding in on. Nice crisp April morning.
Paul and Bob had a lot of patience with the entire group. This is definitely for novices to see if leathercraft is for them.
The tools are all ready for you, the templates are easy to follow, if you're not sure about something, these two are more than happy to re explain and in my case critique my method.
A really fun day that went so fast.
I was extremely pleased with my eventual product. Couldn't have been happier.
Alex is a great tutor
Alex is a great tutor, enough detail to get the work done yourself but always ready to step in if you're struggling.

Very good course
Very good course - Matt was very informative and open to questioning at all stages. Immediately went home and went through my tool box - half of it needs to be chucked out! Great course for confidence building diy.

I had such a wonderful time at this lampshade-making course! The whole experience was both relaxing and really rewarding. I loved being guided step-by-step through the process, and it was amazing to leave with a finished lampshade that I actually made myself.
The instructor was fantastic—patient, knowledgeable, and always happy to help or answer questions. They made the whole process feel accessible, even for beginners like me.
The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and it was great to meet others who were just as excited to try something creative. Everything was well-organised, with plenty of materials and support throughout.
I’d highly recommend this course to anyone looking for a fun, hands-on activity or wanting to try something new. I’m already thinking about my next design!
I was bought the place on Bobs course…
I was bought the place on Bobs course by my granddaughter as a Christmas present and birthday present combined and what a present it was, it was so useful as Bob must have the patience of a saint to help me talk about ham fisted I had tried to teach myself and he expelled a lot of the myths I had acquired and taught me properly in a very patient way I went from handshaking beginner to a. relaxed pupil who wanted to do more and the benefits were much appreciated and I would recommend that anyone thinking of taking up pyrography should put one of Bobs courses as a must do the friend ship shown and the excellent lunch provided by Mrs Neil was second to non well-done Bob keep it up and all the best to you both. Dave Brooks aka Tasha😀😀😀
Forging fun
I had a fantastic day with Ruby in his forge as a birthday present. He is a personable, patient and supportive teacher as well as a skilled and passionate craftsman.
I came with no forging experience, and left with four pieces I had made myself, some new skills, and a new appreciation of an ancient craft and its history. And a big smile on my face!
Spent a great say day viking wood turning
Spent a great say day wood turning a bowl on what I believe is known as a treadle lathe or pole lath. A small enthusiastic group with an excellent teacher outside in lovely countryside. Lovely way to spend a day.
Personal and friendly
