Waste of money

I did 12 months with Credito and one of the main perks was that they report your rent so it looks like a loan you are paying off, they advised that you need a full 12 months of paying something off for it to appear favourably on your credit score, I was unable to sign up to the rent payment reporting straight away and when the 12 months is up they automatically terminate without telling you so dont get the benefit.

The monthly call is just someone calling and saying the exact same thing every month, don't miss you payments, dont go spend more than 25% of your credit amount.

They said I did everything correctly but my credit score went down 10 points while with them.

Hopefully when the agreement with them appears on my credit file it will reflect positively but overall I thought it was a waste of time and money, you'd be better getting someone for £240 on finance over a year as it would yield the same outcome but you actually have something to show for it

This service is a scam no increase in credit score just took money off my bank and requested to refund back my money after wasting my time. Very useless service and dumb.

Warning this service is a scam

Warning this service is a scam. You will get exactly the same boost to your credit score by getting a credit card and paying it off each month as you do from using credito. Signing up to their service can also bring your credit rating down , which no one at credito will want to own up to and they will lie to cover themselves. Save yourself money and don't throw 20 quid a month away

We want all of our customers to have a positive experience with Credito so it's disappointing to hear you're not happy with us but I don't think it's fair to say we've lied to you or tried to cover anything up.

We tried to explain that any new account, or line of credit, will often cause your score to dip slightly at the beginning due to the absence of a payment history. This includes a new Credito account and we're very open about that, but the same effect will be seen with new credit card accounts too. Scores do tend to recover and improve afterwards once there's been a history of repayments but it doesn't happen overnight, unfortunately.

If this wasn't clear in our explanation yesterday, please accept our apologies for that but we'd love to resolve this and we've tried to call you today so please get in touch again if you can.
