works great highly reccomend
I'm confident the AMP annealer is way more consistent then flame. I see no spring back with my case necks. I feel the case neck tension is the same for every round.
The easy button for sure! This machine demystifies annealing.
I took the “plunge” with the AMP annealer - Glad I did - this is a great machine. Perfect annealing every time!
If you shoot many different head stamps / calibers and you anneal after every firing - well at some point your time is worth more than this costs. Love it, cant believe I waited this long to get one. Flame has been nice, this changes the game completely for me...
This is my second AMP Annealer. I had my original one for years annealing thousands of cases. Wanted a new one and have only used it a couple of times, it does run quitter and having a data base is nice. These are really the best way to go if you can afford it.
I had the Mark II and, like many other Mark II customers, I was hoping for a simple cabinet change. When I found out there was no upgrade, I saved my pennies and bought the DB model. What a terrific improvement! With the new DB model, the navigation from start to annealing is so intuitive that I never opened the manual; also, the database is fantastic. I cried when I had to pay for the DB machine, but after the first use, it no longer mattered.
There’s simply nothing better (PERIOD) Easy review for me I’ve wanted one for a while, I’ve used a friend’s but he lived 2 hours away
Awesomeness in a box. Well designed and packaged. I've only owned it for a short time, but I realized that it's a necessary components to any reloading bench.
Very user friendly and great quality machine!
well made no issues...perfect function
The AMP MK2 DB takes all the guess work out of annealing your brass. The unit is very user friendly and the consistent repeatability of the annealing process is second to none. I highly recommend this product.
Yes, pricy when compared to other options for annealing your brass. However, if you enjoy precision work and want to remove variables from your loads, then this is a tool you must have. The software is very easy to use. The analyzing capability takes the guesswork out of how much heat is needed, which makes it a quick and easy job for you to dial-in the right settings. The LCD screen is informative and the touch screen is very nice to use, versus the push buttons from the previous model. I did experience a few very small “white-outs” in the upper right portion of the screen if I pushed to hard (maybe a bleed through on the backlight, this is common with small LCD screens) I am not worried about it. But, I will keep my eye on it to see if it gets worst. But AMP provides a three-year warranty. I am very happy with this purchase and would buy it again. I enjoy the science behind the whole process of annealing.
Very impressive device; simple, fast, and consistent. Saves time and makes my reloading flow more efficient. It is pricey, but you are getting a well engineered device. Also, to me a safer way to anneal in my basement than with open flames.
Great annealer
This machine makes annealing easy and sure. I tried propane-torch annealers, they just don't compare to the AMP product. Sure, it's expensive. In my opinion, it is well worth the money spent.
Great machine doses all they claim it will do and easy to operate.
As a 20+ year reloader, I was not very familiar w/ annealing. However, the more I read & video-watched, the more I became convinced that the annealing of brass would elevate the quality of the cartridges I made. This machine - despite its price tag - has done just that. Very simple to use; really enhances the sizing of cases; exacting uniformity of the heat treatment. It will take me a long time to recoup the cost of the machine, but I don't believe there is a better cartridge annealer on the market.
This is a well thought out product that is very well made. It is simple to use and is quick to anneal a batch of cases. It seems to provide consistent results but I do not have the ability to verify this. Far easier to use than my old torch method.
