The opening is generous enough to fit a traditional military leather sling, which is hard to find these days. The quick attach part seems a little resistant to being attached and requires a bit of force, something I hope improves with use. Construction is sturdy.

These seems to be the only QD sling swivel available that will actually take a full sized leather shooting slings. All others I've seen are good for web sling, or carry slings only. Thick and sturdy, just what you need for service rifle.
