I shoot .22 silhouette and some of the top grade ammo can get pricey. So I shoot Eley Target at the 50 yard chicken targets. My vintage Winchester model 52 likes Eley at the shorter ranges (out to 100 yards), and costs about 1/3 the price of top end rounds. The picture is of 10 rounds of Eley Target a 50 yards. The high shot was on me. It is extremely consistent and out to 100 yards has almost identical results for me as SK Standard Plus, or SK Rifle Match. At 150, and 200 yards I shift to SK Long Range, but it is typically more than twice the price. So I think Eley is a great value.

This Eley Target Yellow box .22 ammo surprised me. It is relatively inexpensive fodder but it shot fairly well in my Winchester M52. Due to the pretty respectable results I obtained with my first brick I ended up buying another. It’s not top tier 22 ammo but it shot well enough for practice ammo.

After using Federal Gold Medal Match ammo for many years I was introduced to Eley Target two years ago. It's now become my go to rimfire ammunition because of the accuracy and how clean it burns. Seems every gun can like different ammo. For .22 LR silhouette shooting, my old Model 52 shoots very well with SK ammo. But I have a Browning bull nose and Ruger 10/22 that shoot the best with Eley. My friend, who is a long range (600 yd and up) competitor likes Eley for his 10/22 as well (for normal ranges :) ). They are very reliable. I've shot 1000's of them and never had a misfire. In my pistols and plinking guns they shoot as well as much more expensive rounds and are very consistent. I highly recommend them.

Eley ammo, all versions, perform better than other brands because they are made better. You can shoot the same weight lead bullets that are 5 cents a round and groups with Eley always are tighter. Head to head testing on a "lead sled" is how I arrived at my opinion.

I have tried most of the Eley Target ammo in my CZ 457 Varmint MTR. Target, Club, Team and Match. I see a difference with Match but Target outshoots Club and Team in my rifle. So far. So for me a good performer. Can't really love it at 2020/2021 prices.
