Product details

Lapua Long Range .22 LR Ammunition – 40 Grain Lead Round Nose Lapua Long Range is .22 LR match ammunition built for shooting rimfire at 100 yards and beyond. Lapua loads it with a higher velocity than its position-shooting rounds, 1,106 fps (337 m/s) against 1,073 fps for Center-X, so the 40 grain lead round nose bullet arrives at distance with a flatter trajectory and less wind drift. That is the difference that matters when the targets are at 100, 200 and 300 yards: less holdover between stages and less correction when the wind picks up. It is made for the disciplines where those distances are the norm: NRL22 and PRS rimfire, rimfire benchrest, and Long Gong. If you shoot 50-yard smallbore or 25-yard pistol, Center-X or Midas+ is the better fit; Long Range is the round to pick when your match card starts at 100 yards. Lapua's Super Long Range is the premium-grade version of this load at the same velocity. Like all match rimfire ammunition, Long Range is barrel-sensitive. For the best results, test it against your current load at your match distance, and once you find a lot your rifle likes, buy enough of that lot to get through the season if it's available. Creedmoor Sports stocks Long Range alongside Lapua Super Long Range, Center-X, Midas+ and X-Act so you can test side by side. Specifications Caliber:.22 LR (.22 Long Rifle) Bullet: 40 grain (2.59 g) lead round nose Muzzle velocity: 1,106 fps (337 m/s) Ballistic coefficient (G1): 0.172 Designed for: 100 yards and beyond – NRL22/PRS rimfire, rimfire benchrest, Field Target, long range .22 LR Lapua product number: 420168 Box count: 50 rounds Made in: Germany Sold by the 50-round box.

The Lapua Speed Ace was accurate so I was hoping this would be too. I was not disappointed.

I tried these because they were out of SK longe range. Great shooting bullets but my gun shoots better with SK long range.

Lapua in my opinion is the best and most consistent rimfire ammo on the market! I needed something that shot well in my 10/22 and this definitely hit the mark. It absolutely hammers!

I use this for my 100 yard shooting. I use Midas, Center-X or Pistol OSP for 50 yards. This seems to work well in my L3I-Stinger build. Longer barrel it is pushing just over 1100fps. I have several lots, most recent 33 and 35 nominal lot speed. I dont shoot it in my shorter barrel rifles, for example the Bergara B14R likes slower ammo. I dont shoot Eley anymore. It just doesnt perform as well or as consistently. Including picture of my L3I and some groups shot last week at 100 in a light wind.

Target .22 rimfire ammo the cost is off the charts ! And it can be so lot number dependent, that it’s even worse. Add the fact that it’s hard to buy more than a few boxes at a time and it’s becoming more expensive than shooting center fire cartridges !
