Thank you for your feedback. We’re sorry to hear that you haven’t found CrewPass beneficial. We want to clarify that CrewPass isn’t just about a "tick" – it's a comprehensive service designed to show potential employers that you've undergone an in-depth background check. Many vessels, unfortunately, don’t conduct thorough criminal background checks on their crew, and CrewPass was created to help address this by encouraging and enabling such checks to take place. It’s a crucial step in ensuring safety and trust in the superyacht industry, which is why so many vessels rely on our service for every crew member they hire.

Regarding pricing, we offer two plans to provide flexibility for our users. Our full payment option is £199, and for those who prefer to spread the cost, we have a monthly plan of £12.99 over 24 months. This monthly plan was introduced specifically to help crew members avoid a large upfront cost, enabling them to utilize CrewPass in their job search while managing the cost over time.

We’re also very concerned to hear you didn’t receive responses from our customer service team. That’s not the level of service we aim to provide, and we will be reviewing this matter internally to ensure it’s addressed.

At CrewPass, our primary mission is to enhance the safety of the yachting industry. Before CrewPass, very few employers were conducting background checks on yacht crew members. We created CrewPass to provide an easy and reliable way for employers to vet their crew before they step onboard, significantly improving safety standards.

We offer flexibility for crew members to purchase CrewPass themselves. They can choose to pay in full or opt for a 24-month payment plan, making it more affordable. In this plan, CrewPass covers the immediate cost of your checks, which can then be repaid over 24 months. This can always be reimbursed by employers later, and we see this 9/10 times with employers that use CrewPass.

Regarding the 14-day cooling-off period, CrewPass always honours this policy. However, due to the nature of our service, once you sign up and provide your information, we immediately submit your checks to the relevant authorities and incur those costs on your behalf. Therefore, even within the 14-day cooling-off period, the crew member is liable for those incurred costs. This is clearly stated in our sign-up process, where users must agree to these terms before proceeding.

Many crew members, management companies, crew agents, and industry personnel benefit from our service every day, and we remain committed to keeping crew members safer through our platform.
