I didn’t like the results of my relative finder. I don’t recognize anyone on the list of extended family. I thought I would find connections with closer relatives. Also, I sent messages to all of my 6... See more

I signed up for two memberships for both kits… My wife and me. I see nothing different yet so far the things that I find are difficult to research.

In short, I will simply say I would NEVER recommend your services to anyone hoping to learn more about their family’s health history. I was adopted at birth, and have no knowledge of my “health history.” I was hoping your service might provide some insight, but so far all I have found are some “fun facts” that by your own disclaimer may or may not be relevant to the specific individual. Thanks for nothing.

I was very unimpressed. I had done AncestryDNA and their report was not even close to what was given through Ancestry. I did research and discovered that others complained of the same outcome

When I first ordered this product, I bought Everything they had to offer Including the health results etc. This was 6 years ago at that time they claimed that if you bought the health stuff that every time they added a new test it would be applied to your account for no additional cost, which was a big selling point to me. Well shortly after they changed it to a very overpriced subscription and despite having bought it prior to this they did not continue giving the results to me for the initial price I paid. This was blatant false advertisement. Next, they claim you own your DNA and are able to download the data, this is also not true, there is nowhere to download your data and when I contacted support, they did not provide a way for me to do this either. I am also suspicious about the results in general. Not just because there was stuff there I wasn't expecting or vice versa, but because I got a test for a non-blood relative of mine and his account is on mine as well. Well somehow their famous people report is exactly the same as mine, and I mean every single person listed is the same on both maternal and paternal sides. Again, I am not related to this person by blood at all nor are our families even from the same areas, so this just seems remarkably unlikely. I also contacted support about this and they just immediately said there was no mistake and blew me off. The speed at which they replied told me they did no actual checking to see if they had made a mistake.

I found it interesting. I am 77 and look much younger. Also I don't have grey hair. These were showed up in my report.

Would only recommend this product if you’re curious about your ancestry. That is possibly good but it’s not why I ordered the test. Health data is awful and the 80+ reports they give you are not very helpful. Might be worth it if you pay the extra $200 to see more reports but after how much a paid already I’m not checking that. Of the health reports I received, the data was incorrect and went directly against tests I’ve had from doctors so at this point I also don’t trust any of my results. I’ve had success with many other companies that provide health reports from DNA. Very unhappy. Do not recommend.

Though it is 4 stars it is because it is less in-depth than it use to be ?

Too many hidden costs. They only give the basics of info and if you want more than you have to pay. Would not recommend

Reports were more detailed than I expected. Was really pleased with them. Explanations were easy and interesting. The emails explaining how the process works were very informative and fun. I also appreciate that I can ask for my DNA to be destroyed before 3 months

The core stuff was cool and seemed accurate. The famous relative thing. DO NOT BUY THAT. 100% useless and just purely made up. So obviously made up I had to write a review.

The wrong, or the issue is that CRI G. is trying to sell on behalf of profits, insisting too much. And the reporting of DNA is inaccurate.

I was expecting a complete DNA analysis to include not only major haplogroup but subclades which are very important in genealogy for identifying individuals and family. It is essential information. I asked if I may upload my DNA sample for further analysis. I was told no. CriGenetics is quite expensive to not provide this. There is also no disclosure upfront prior to purchase. I cannot recommend this company to anyone who requires a more detailed analysis.

BEWARE! BEWARE! BEWARE!
THIS WAS THE WORST EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD.
They gave incomplete data, gave themselves a deadline. Waited 4 more weeks for results. They sent email saying results were complete. Try and get results and there not complete, then they say after waiting and complaining that the data is corrupt. Well, if corrupt, was the data fabricated? How can I trust anything they say. The customer service robotic answer is "be patient". I can not trust a company that doesn't know whats going on especially with my DNA. On top of it they are keeping my money. They didn't complete a job they should not be aloud to keep my money. Any other company would be better than what I went thru.

Not happy with information

An offer of a dna print out of the results would be great.

DO NOT BUY IF YOU LIVE IN THE UK.
I have been waiting 9 months for my own raw DNA data. CRI Genetics has formally admitted via email that they hold my data but refuse to release it, citing "internal company policy."
Let’s be clear: This is a direct violation of UK GDPR Article 15 (Right of Access).
They are happy to take money from UK customers (using a UK Freephone number) but refuse to follow UK Law. They are effectively holding my sensitive biological data hostage.
Ancestry/23andMe: Allow you to download your raw data instantly.
CRI Genetics: Refuses access, preventing you from using your own DNA for medical research on other platforms.
I have filed a formal complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO). Until they comply with the Data Protection Act 2018, this service is fundamentally broken for UK users. Avoid at all costs.

The cost compared to what you get is not worth it. The company floods you with too many ads and too little information. The health report and the maternal tracing gives you very little for the amount spent.

Did not pick up major part of who i am. Ancestry did so why couldn't this?

Not even close to right. Not worth the money. Very disappointing.
