Predatory sales tactics on the elderly

My mother's HoA hired Croach to get rid of some hornet's nests. Next thing you know, the Croach representative was knocking on my 80 year old mother's door and started his sales pitch about how Croach would keep the bugs and hornets away for a year. What he did not explain, was that the $100 charge included what amounts to a subscription service for $40 each quarter.

I called Croach "customer service" and told them I wanted to close the account. I was told they could not see my mother's account. Wow that was convenient. Then I gave them the invoice number along with the number to my attorney's office and told them to pick a number to put in their system. Guess what, they "found" my mother's account. Then they tell me the department that can close the account is busy and I would get a call back that day. I did not.

The next day, I called back and guess what? Right, they couldn't find the account again. The mention of a lawyer got me through to close the account where the biggest jerk, lying, disrespectful associate literally try to sell me more of the same trash plan the first PREDATOR sold my 80 year old mother. I demanded the account be cancelled and he told me there would be a $300+ cancellation fee.

I contacted the HOA and they said they are discontinuing contact with Croach and by the way, they are also the biggest builders in Idaho at the moment.

THIS IS A PREDATORY COMPANY!!! DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM!!!

Make sure your elderly parents and their friends haven't also fallen prey to these indignant and disgusting predators!!!
