My Experience of Cromwell & Co
If you’re reading this review, you’re likely in a similar situation to mine—seeking a cost-effective way to liquidate a company. Given the circumstances, spending a lot on liquidation was neither feasible nor justifiable. I discovered Cromwell & Co through a Google search, and their cost was about half of what my accountant had recommended. Naturally, I decided to look deeper into Cromwell & Co.
Initially, I was reassured by their accreditations, but then I saw some concerning reviews. While I don’t want to judge others’ experiences, these reviews did cause me considerable anxiety. After going through a lot already, the last thing I wanted was to face more problems.
I’ll admit, I was quite anxious and probably bombarded Cromwell with emails to ensure that the quoted price was indeed the final price. The more I communicated with them, the more confident I became. Their advice, even before I had paid anything, was immensely helpful and reassuring. The entire experience turned out to be a great relief.
I don’t usually write reviews, and to be honest, I’m not doing this for Cromwell’s sake. I’m writing for those who find themselves in the same tough spot I was in. Bad reviews can be incredibly stressful, especially when you’ve already been through so much.
In my experience, Cromwell & Co provided excellent service, and I highly recommend them.
Poor company to deal with
Poor company to deal with. They're all nicey nicey to you untill you pay their fees, upfront i may add. They're not interested in helping you close your Limited company, all they want to do is screw you over and have you prosicuted. Avoid Cromwell & Co at all costs.
Their liquidator manipulates his position and ignores the government legislation on drawing dividends as a Limited company director.
They threaten you with court proceedings, then their solictors get involved - equally backstreet cowboys. They had me prosicuted.
What goes round comes around Cromwell & Co, and your solicitors.
Hope it goes round and gets them too one day. See how they like being on the end of it all.
Just to add a note their liquidator has been fined in the courts by the insolvancy service on 14th February 2024 for breaching Money laundering and terrorism regulations.
He was fined a total of £37'000.

Threats from position of power!!
One of the directors son is a client of my business who is asking for a refund they are not really entitled to as we fulfilled his booking. Sadly, his dad who is one of the directors has used his position as an insolvency practitioner to use threats of winding up and liquidation against myself and my business with threats of investigation into me etc. Just to clarify, this company has nothing to do with us or the case, he is simply using his job title to try and intimidate me. Not going to work pal, we are better than this.
