Delicious and fresh coffee!

I ordered the aeropress grind and it was really beautiful tasting coffee! I will definitely need to buy a good quality grinder and try their beans too.

Signed up using the new customer offer discount and unlike other silly reviewers, I actually read the order page which clearly states you are getting 3x subscription deliveries. Perhaps next time they won’t blame someone else for their inability to read a webpage.

Bought some beans from this company…

Bought some beans from this company using their offer of 80% off.
The coffee came, in my opinion it wasn’t a good quality coffee. I explained this to them and that I didn’t want to carry on with my subscription. I was told I had to finish 2 more orders or pay for the coffees full price, even though I was unhappy with the quality.
They said I had a 7 day cooling off period, which is lawfully incorrect you have a 14 day cooling off period from the moment of delivery for distance contracts.
They try to use the perishable items clauses and their terms and conditions but CRA will always trump anything a company will say.
I told them they are not aloud to take payment from me for another order and if they did I would dispute. They asked me to send the coffees back but want me to pay the costs of shipping. They’re just a shoddy company and previous reviews show the same issues. I have disputed my payment with the bank and I urge anyone else to do the same your bank will uphold the dispute and you will get your money back. Don’t be scared by these little company’s using ai to make contracts or terms and conditions you always have your statutory rights.

Misleading and deceptive advertising…

Misleading and deceptive advertising practices, where key terms are hidden behind pop ups and FAQs which are not explicitly visible during the checkout process. This lack of transparency seems like a deliberate attempt to tie customers into a three order minimum without clear consent, and clearly breaches basic consumer rights.

Hi Ben,

We appreciate you sharing your concerns, but we want to clarify that our subscription terms are neither misleading nor hidden, which we have discussed in our correspondence multiple times. The key details, including the three-order minimum, are clearly displayed at multiple points during the checkout process, most notably directly above the “Place My Order” button, ensuring transparency before customers complete their purchase. If we could include screenshot evidence here, we would happily do so.

While we understand that not everyone may notice or read these terms, that does not make them deceptive. We have reviewed the process thoroughly and are confident that the information is presented clearly and fairly.

We also offered reasonable solutions to resolve this, but they weren't accepted. Unfortunately, we cannot be held responsible for terms not being read before signing up.

As for your claim that “multiple customers” have had the same issue, the reality is that the vast majority of our subscribers sign up without any confusion and enjoy our service without issue. Isolated complaints do not indicate wrongdoing but rather a misunderstanding of the information provided at checkout.

We always welcome feedback and are happy to assist with any further questions you may ha

Do not order from this site

Do not order from this site. I started a subscription, and after trying to cancel it, I was told I was locked into a 3-month subscription.

This information was hidden and not revealed when checking out via Shop pay.

Edit (16/04/25): Based on their reply, I checked the checkout process, and while using Shop Pay, I never came across the terms and conditions. And even if I did, leaving this information inside of the terms and conditions is very concerning. Look at any other coffee subscription; they are upfront and let you know exactly what is happening when you check out.

TL:DR, Stay away from CrosbyCoffee

Hi Devon,

I’d like to clarify that your statement is factually incorrect. It is not possible to place an order with us without first agreeing to the terms and conditions of the subscription service. These terms are clearly outlined, and the marketing material explicitly states their presence.

There has been no lack of transparency, and your concerns were acknowledged and addressed.

The coffee subscription is a con

UPDATE: The response from Crosby Coffee is inaccurate, nowhere on the Shopify checkout experience are the T&C's made clear. The customer service are rude when you attempt to cancel also. It's all very well supporting independent business but you also need treat customers with respect.

Do not order a coffee subscription from here, it's an absolute con. They trick you into signing up and then hold you to a 3 delivery minimum, which is not visibly communicated at any point during checkout (but buried in T&Cs and not shown during checkout via Shopify app)

Hey, thanks for taking the time to review but you left some bits out. I apologise if you struggled to see the info you were wanting but the information is displayed where it is needed.

Our subscription service has its own section in our T&Cs and on the subscription page before selecting anything it mentioned to please read the T&Cs carefully before purchasing a subscription:

“*T&C's apply, please read them carefully before purchasing your subscription. “

Upon checking out with a subscription, literally above the “review my order” button is also this text:

“By clicking "Place my order", you confirm that your subscription will automatically renew and your credit card will automatically be charged the subscription price according to the Order summary section of this page until you cancel your subscription. Only one subscription per address for nay offer to be valid. Subscriptions run for a minimum of 3 deliveries at the size of bag selected at checkout, you can cancel or edit your subscription any after this period. You can skip within this period but max delay to a charge within first 3 deliveries is 3 months.”

Just a reminder, we are a small independent business, we offer free bags and discounts on our subscription in the hope you continue to use our services after trialling out the products. We don’t offer it so customers can claim a free bag and then cancel entirely as it would put us out of business. We’re not Amazon or Netflix who can afford to offer such ridiculous models.

Nether the less thanks for signing up and trying us, clearly you’re not a fan of our product and that is absolutely cool but please, In future bear in mind the damage a negative review can do to businesses, especially when it’s not a truthful reflection of said business.
