The other reviews say it all, they "managed" a let of mine and to say they were inept is me being very gracious, bloody useless in every department staff just lie, and really badly too. Amateurs AVOID . Watch Monty python 4 Yorkshire men says it all.

Crucible are persistently attaching their for sale signs to street signs, even though they know it’s against the law, and causing significant damage. I have just politely asked the chap who was just about to attach another board with SOLD on, he was quite aggressive, and said, CRUCIBLE have said, they know it’s illegal, but, they will not stop attaching their boards until they are FINED!

The council only removed one of their signs a few weeks ago.

Absolutely disgraceful company!
Told my pensioner mother in law after 7 years to vacate the property in the matter of weeks this is how they feel fit to treat people that have never missed a payment as long as she been there.
They even had apartments available at the time of contacting her but never put these forward as an alternative.
What company would see fit to do this to a pensioner!
Me and my wife rang them there is absolutely no customer service from them.
You should be ashamed of yourselves!
If you are a tenant looking for a property think twice before entertaining these cowboys.

Incredibly poor service from Crucible, Chapeltown.
Struggled to make contact with them, they never answer the phone. Even drove past and saw them all chatting as the phone was just ringing.

Had to chase up having sale sign put up in garden.

Had one lady knock on front door as she could not make contact over the phone or via email. She just wanted a viewing.

Estate agent from purchase attempted to make contact on multiple occasions, but again, they never answer the phone. No contact since offer accepted on sale, except an email to tell me we were ready to exchange, which was inaccurate as we were still waiting to sign contracts.

For sale sign still at old house, in front garden, after 3 weeks.

No contact with them after completion, no thank you for your custom, no good luck, no nothing.

Very, very poor service from beginning to end.

Deposit not registered with a protection scheme and first months rent not paid to landlord 35 days after I paid the agent

My initial call with them with regard to letting a property was very promising. After this, a complete disaster. I was told false information, when it came to arranging viewings my calls were never returned, the information on their website and right move is completely inaccurate. They fob you off on the phone and didn't apologise when i finally did manage to get through to them. Avoid, there are much better companies out there that don't lie and fail to keep to their promises.

Avoid like the plague. I’ve been in the property over 8 weeks and keep getting threatening letters from the council as Crucilbe refuses to settle their council tax debt for while the property was unoccupied. I have reached out about the issue multiple times. After calling 12 times on 3 separate days someone might bother to answer the phone just to lie to you that they’ll sort it. It’s been 8 weeks!!!! Had to go through 5 agents just to get my tenancy agreement. Lift has broken in the building with the 1st week of living here took another 4 weeks to get fixed. Etc etc absolute hell hole

This is the worst estate agents I have ever known tell you they are gonna call you back, but it never happens this has happened to me three times now it is one of them companies they tell you what you want to hear and never call you back I can’t see how they sell properties

They're not capable of providing any decent level of service. If you have a problem it will be ignored until you eventually move out or give up trying. On the off chance you get a reply you'll be fobbed off.

Better off just avoiding them altogether and living in a tent.

After 10 years at 37 Vale Road, Crucible Homes has shown nothing but contempt for its tenants. They recently proposed a ridiculous 60% rent hike, then ignored my emails for weeks, finally responding with a cold, one-sentence email: "This is what you will pay." No explanation, no discussion.

It seems like there has been a change in management, and since then, the agency has been going downhill. Worse, they've ignored critical maintenance for years—no boiler programmer for three years, a dangerous collapsed fence since May, and a leaking toilet that caused water damage. As a single mother, this unfair rent increase and lack of repairs is beyond insulting.

I’m taking this further, as such treatment is unacceptable. Crucible Homes prioritizes profit over people. Don’t rent from them—they'll neglect you, ignore you, and leave you dealing with outrageous rent increases and unresolved safety issues. Stay away.

I went to view a property in High Green, Sheffield. Cosy little apartment, was advised area not bad. The viewing agent said she would call me on the Monday that week, bare in mind I had travelled from Manchester to view the property.
I never got that call on the Monday, waited end of the week, still no call. Contacted the office at Crucible Homes and asked if that agent was going to call me, she never did! And so I never got the chance to put in for an application on the flat, then I find out it's was 'Let Agreed' .... brilliant customer service guys!!

I had seen other properties to rent and thought I'd give them another go and enquired about viewings, nobody has bothered to get back to me.

Shocking customer service, no people skills.

Well done Crucible Homes Wickersley. They have just sold my late brothers home. Living 125 miles away and always been able to be in touch with Brandon. He has kept us informed and if he wasn't in the office, got back to us with updates.
Sad to see other bad reviews but our experience was with the 5 stars. Well done Brandon

The only thing I can say is pure ignorant!, tell you one thing and then do another. AVOID AVOID AVOID.

Absolutely disgusting service. We were told by Tom, the new build we wanted, would be held for us. 2 weeks later we found out it had been given to someone else as it was a first come first served basis !! Harvinder Singh who does the checks for the company, reckoned he couldn’t get hold of us yet neither of us had missed calls. Communication awful, can’t get hold of them and contradict themselves. Not what you expect from a supposedly professional company !
Avoid this company at all costs !!

Nice people at Wickersley Branch - appalling service.
Phone calls always go to voicemail and rarely returned.
My tenant paid in advance and after 3 weeks (15 working days) still nothing transferred. They have told me how much but are unable to produce a statement.

Horrific at picking up the phone, bad at keeping you updated, have to be massively pushed to do anything. Wouldn’t recommend these estate agents to anyone. Please if you want hassle free look elsewhere.

Who knows if they’re any good… maybe if they answered the phone 🤷‍♀️ occasionally.
