Excellent Experience

We hired a Fiat Ducato 2 berth Sandpiper from the Tullamarine depot for 15 days travelling 7,200km along the east coast. The vehicle was spacious for its size, it was well equipped, easy & comfortable to drive, & surprisingly, had great fuel economy. The only issues we had was that the electric footstep was inoperative when we picked it up, but Cruisin supplied us with a portable step to use. The fresh water hose supplied was a little short to reach taps in 2 of the parks we stayed at, & the passenger side had no grab handle to get in & out of cabin which was a minor issue. Other than that, we had a fantastic experience travelling in this motor home & the service we had at pick up & drop off was exceptional. Would highly recommend

It's absolutely disgraceful how they…

It's absolutely disgraceful how they treat, their customers. I hired a motor home from Cruisin Motorhome and paid full cover. Then two days in our holiday with my family. Heavy rain occurred and the Motor home became full of water leaking from their lights and electrical plugs and roof. So, I contact them roadside assistance team and they advised me to turn off all electric equipment. After that they called me back advised that I do 2-hour trip back to Melbourne with my family, while it was heavily raining, I advised them that the vehicle was not safe to drive, and they should someone to have look at it. Also, they mentioned I had to stay at the place, until the motor home was fixed and they said it could take hours. I asked for manager or supervisor but apparently, they didn't deal with such things. Anyway, we couldn't stay the night in motor home, as it was raining, and the water was going through electric wiring and I had young kids with me.
We cut our holiday short and then after a week I called the manager with no help saying it's my fault because I left the motor home at the location, I expressed that was unsafe but no help.
Please I also advise those who had bad experiences to report them to consumer affairs Victoria.

Wont use a motor home again after this experience

Hi All. Melbourne depo
First we where rushed through the motor home operations and condition of vehicle.
I was asked to sign the paperwork before being shown the motor home.
So anyhow excited to get on the journey.
We stopped first night around 350k from depo and settled down for the night, my partner needed the toilet at around 2 am, when she flushed it the flush button had jammed ad it continued to flush. A 110 lit tank will not fit in a 20 lit cassette toilet tank.
As an engineered I disconnected power to the unit avoiding the cabin from being flooded.
I contacted them and they sent a new switch assembly to my cousins that we would be at for 2 days I removed the old one and it had been bodge repaired by the company.
Next day from repair we where at a non powered sight using the gas set up for the fridge.
The leisure batteries using only the lighting would las 30 minutes.
Then their was the steering, on straight roads you had to keep correcting it.
I checked under the motor home to see if it was the steering ball joints, but the problem was wear in the rack.
Another day on and the drivers cad area the fan blower stopped working. I called the road assist and was told the black plug under passenger side may have been knocked as it was in a vulnerable area.
The fix was to unplug it and refit it.
When in removed it the plastic plug had melted so had two of the wire coverings to the point that they could touch bear wires to each other.
I gaped the wires and refitted as told to do so even though they may touch.
In the owners book it showed where you turn off the gas inside the motor home in an emergency.
well the cupboard door you needed to open had damaged hinges and was imposable to open.
The fire extinguisher was 2019 and the service tag had never been stamped so never checked or serviced.
the bedding duvet was falling apart with holes and rips in it.
Many other faults to list.
We hared this home for near 3 weeks at $7000
And as a sorry they reimburse us with $500 an absolute joke.

Avoid this van.

4 berth motorhome

We hired a 4 berth motorhome from Melbourne (for 2 people) and it was as rough as guts, the outside was knocked around and an absolute rip off for what they charge. The beds were narrow (not 2 person beds) and uncomfortable not sure how they can call a bed a bed with swabs that moved during the night and hips ended up on the boards under us we ended up with one sleeping in the luton bed the other in the rear. We had no nozzle to connect the hose at campsite. Then there was the battery problems we were in the back blocks visiting friends where we parked for 2 days and when we went to leave the vehicle was dead had to get jump started - trying to find the battery was not where the directions told us, any how we found it under the floor in the front not under the seat. We thought after a good run it would recharge however this was not the case once again we had to find someone to jump start us - lucky for us there are some very helpful Aussies to lend a hand who we were greatful too.
We made contact with the office we picked it up from to inform them. We ended up driving back to their premises where we picked it up from to get the battery replaced a real dick around wasting one day of our 5 day hire. We felt really ripped off by this whole rental experience. No discounted price for the problems we endured. Just for reference we own our own motorhome in NZ so have a good understanding of motorhoming and for certain we would never rent from this company again.

Cruisin 4 birth High Top

Had a Cruisin 4 birth Toyota High Top campervan for 2 months during July and August. Had paid for a camper of less than 4 years of age and specifically asked the person handing it over if thats what we had. She assured me it was, but I later found out, whilst some way into our journey, that it was over 5 years. (Should Cruisin read this review they may see it in themselves to refund us the difference between the two aged vehicles, that'd be nice)

Could see there was some wear and tear and maybe that's to be expected.
We had to use the mattress for the top bunk to double up on the lower one, that wasn't great but it was bearable.
The toaster didn't work, the kettle stopped working and the table broke a couple of days into our journey.
Cruisins Roadside Assist (Ahmed) was helpful though and pointed us in the right direction to get replacements. We were refunded the cost in quick time, so that was good.

That all said, we thoroughly enjoyed out time in it, travelling a total of 7931km. The vehicle performed well and was stocked with all the pans, crockery etc that we needed.

The hand over at Brisbane was smooth with no problems, staff were pleasant.

The one thing that could have made it better for us was the matteress problem, it complicated the making and putting down of the bed each day.
