Thoroughly enjoyed the course and learnt so much. The platform was easy to use and well structured. All the information and assignments were very clear and easy to follow. Good supporting materials as well. Angela, my assessor, was quick to respond and grade and feedback was always clear. The virtual sessions were really well run and very useful.

I recently completed my Level 3 EAT qualification with CTC Training, and the experience was excellent from start to finish. The course content was clear, well structured, and easy to follow. My tutor, Angela, provided consistently valuable feedback and advice, helping me build confidence and develop my teaching skills throughout the programme. I’d highly recommend CTC Training to anyone looking to progress in education and training.

The course I completed was tailored directly to my needs both professionally and personally. It gave me new knowledge and skills that will help enhance me within my role. My online tutor (Angela) was always on hand when I needed her. She gave me excellent guidance and support when I needed it.

I am over the moon to have passed the Level 3 Award in Education and Training. I had a great experience with CTC Training, my tutor and support was Angela Buick, who was wonderful. My work was marked quickly and had a detailed response. I made full use of the virtual workshops so I could plough through the units.

The support I was given by my trainer and assessor “Kelly” was fantastic. Her patience with my submissions really showed, when it came to guiding me through my assignments.

I enrolled in the UPPA course with CTC Training in good faith, paid in full, and completed my assignments on time. What I experienced was nothing short of shocking for a provider delivering a regulated qualification:

Failure to follow their own published policies: I lodged a formal appeal on 15 September 2025. Their Appeals Policy clearly states appeals must be acknowledged within 2 working days and resolved within 10. They did neither. Instead, they invented a “7-day rule” which does not exist in their own published policy.

Unprofessional handling of complaints: For days my appeal email sat “unopened.” When I chased, I was blamed for “ending calls abruptly” and accused of being “unwilling to submit further work” — a gross misrepresentation of the facts.

Breach of learner rights: Rather than honour their Appeals Policy, they unilaterally refunded my fees and removed my course access, depriving me of the qualification I had already completed substantial work towards. I never asked to be withdrawn — I asked for fairness, transparency, and a marking rubric.

Serious learner impact: Their negligence caused unnecessary stress and damaged my confidence in the quality of their courses. I am now pursuing a formal complaint through TQUK and will escalate to Ofqual if necessary, as this is clear maladministration.

In short: learners are sold the promise of support, fairness, and professionalism, but in practice CTC fails to uphold even its own Google-published policies. If you value your time, money, and wellbeing, I strongly advise you to avoid CTC Training.

CTC’s response contains serious inaccuracies and character attacks.

Unsubstantiated allegations: They accuse me of submitting “AI-generated and plagiarised” work without ever providing evidence (e.g., Turnitin/originality reports). If they truly believed this, they should have followed their own malpractice policy and allowed me the chance to respond. They did not.
***In fact, this was assignment number 10 out of 10. The assignment was ***fully*** referenced with: a) a bibliography including works from Ann Gravells 2014, 2017, 2020-2025 and others; b) 13 references for direct quotations, including from the British Safety Council (2025), the CD Certification Service UK (2024), the UK Research Integrity Office, and many, many, more); and, c) Other sources to include two CTC Training Workshop recordings delivered by A Buick - the CTC assessor for the course.***

Character attack: Their suggestion that I was “rude” or “slammed the phone down” is unprofessional and defamatory. For the record, all my calls to CTC were made through a GHL system that automatically records conversations, and I hold the audio evidence.

Failure to follow published policies: The real issue is not “AI” or personality disputes — it is that CTC repeatedly failed to uphold their published Appeals Policy:

Appeals must be acknowledged within 2 working days. Mine was not.

Appeals must be decided within 10 working days. Instead, I was locked out and refunded.

They even invented a “7-day rule” which does not exist in their published policy.

Refund ≠ fairness: CTC frames their refund as “fair,” but this is not about money. This is about fairness, learner protection, and upholding published procedures. Ironically, the UPPA course itself teaches assessors to follow policy and put learners first — yet CTC did the opposite by denying me a fair appeals process.

This case is now under formal investigation by TQUK. Other learners deserve to know the risks: refunds do not excuse centres from following their own published rules, nor from treating learners with respect.

I was so happy I picked ctc for my course as they are very helpful and always get back to you within in 24 hours to help and guide you through the course if your not quite understanding it. Deborah ,Lisa and Giles.

I read the reviews posted before selecting the company for the level 5 diploma in education, unfortunately the positive reviews did not translate to my experience of my learning. You need to really read all of the information before paying for the course, whilst some information is in the course overview there is more in the FAQs. The programme is research based with no input from a teacher, they provide some 'lessons' which is a booklet of information to read and some of the information is inaccurate for example it talks about the common inspection framework relating to Ofsted when this changed in 2019. You only get access to the platform for 12 months, this programme is not easy to complete in 12 months with the amount of extended research required and also the teaching practice - if you are working alongside taking this course you will need approximately 15 months to complete. With CTC you are told once you have paid that you need to then purchase additional books to support your research which does make you wonder what you have paid for, in essence you have paid to read what your assignments are, submit them and get them marked. It would therefore make more sense for your 12 months access to start after your first submission. As soon as the 12 months is up you cannot access your account, there is a section on the dashboard that counts down your access but this is not easy to locate and you do not get any guidance on where core information is to be found. This is only provided once you start to complain. You also cannot plan effectively as you do not get full visibility of your assignments at the start of the course, you have to complete 4 units before you see the remaining units, when you have a time limit on access this is not helpful as you cannot plan effectively. It is a shame that this company does not role model what you research and have to showcase in the level 5 programme, there is not clear information provided so you can make the right decision on whether this is the right programme, you do not get accurate resources and you are not provided with full transparency in order to help you plan and achieve. If you are completely new as an FE teacher you need input and teaching to support you on this programme - do not go for this option
I have read the response back from CTC and they have taken elements out of context in their response. I did get support from my tutor when asked questions, my feedback was that there was no teacher input within the programme, no planned taught sessions etc so if you require that method of learning then this is not the course for you. Also I was informed that I should supplement my course by purchasing further books, this should be made clear at the start that further materials are recommended. This programme is equipping people to be able to teach and it should role model what it is teaching you - this route does not. I stand by my review in that if you are new to teaching this route is not the best option for you, if you prefer to research and have experience then this might be the route for you, however to complete within 12 months if you are working full time with any other commitments it will require about 10 hours per week to complete in the 12 months

I found the course useful and a joy to complete with CTC.
I tried to do the course with minimum help from the tutors at CTC, I'd seem to get through everything quite easily but needed help when doing the micro teaching video.
When I finally asked for help I got it immediately which assisted me in completing this course. Angela (my tutor) was great help to which I am thankful.

Fantastic course, learnt so much and had lots of great helpful feedback throughout the course, plenty of resources to help you as well.
I will highly recommend this course to others.

Support and communication from the tutor was excellent. She was very quick with marking work and answering questions. She gave lovely feedback which motivated me to continue, and when I needed help provided useful points for development. The course suited my needs and was easy to navigate on the portal. The ways to submit work were variable, both written and practical. Course materials were helpful, and the flexibility to complete in your own time was perfect when you are also working. All in all a brilliant experience with CTC Training.

A very good course and company. Friendly customer service. Brilliant tutor who gave timely constructive feedback. An easy to follow course, learnt a lot and thoroughly enjoyed it. Looking forward to moving forward with a teaching career.

I really enjoyed completing this course and learned so much! It's not easy, but if you complete all the digital learning, and watch the previously recorded virtual workshops before completing each of the units then you definitely will be able to smash it! I completed the course in just under a year but I did really take my time with completing each section as I was not in a rush to complete so you can complete this at a pace that suits you. Angela was very helpful and provided quality feedback for each piece of work that was graded (which was marked quicker than expected!) and provided guidance to help me progress through. Angela was also contactable through the message function on the portal when required. I liked the relevant YouTube video links within the content and further reading you could do that was embedded within the digital learning. I also joined the Facebook group which was helpful for me to interact with and motivate other learners completing the same course. I would definitely recommend this to others! Thankyou again, and I'm looking forward to applying what I've learnt in real life.

I completed the AET level 3. The course was well developed, with all material for the course readily available. My tutor Angela Buick was really supporting providing good feedback when needed. Tina in admin was great too, keeping me going when I needed to extend the course. Would recommend.

This course was a struggle for me to complete due to personal juggling of life and work. Not being a full time student is hard. My tutor was supportive and patient with a quick turn around (her end) with marking my work and offering constructive feedback. I can highly recommenced.
