picked up a refurbished Humanscale Freedom Chair with Headrest and honestly no regretswas expecting a few marks or something but it turned up pretty tidy. everything works, rolls fine, reclines smooth etcheadrest is actually better than i thought, kinda just moves with you which is nice. dont really have to think about adjusting anythingbeen using it a week now for work and its solid. not super cushy but way more comfortable than my old chairfor the money its a no brainer really

I purchased a refurbished Humanscale Diffrient World chair from Curated and was genuinely impressed. The chair arrived in excellent condition—clean, sturdy, and functioning exactly as it should.
Comfort-wise, it’s outstanding. The mesh support and effortless recline make long working hours much more manageable. It feels every bit like a high-end ergonomic chair.

Ordered a chair, waited three weeks, sent the wrong chair, and then ignored

I ordered a refurbished Humanscale Liberty chair from Curated because they advertise themselves as specialists in high-end refurbished office chairs. The listing clearly stated Liberty and the price reflected that model.

First problem: delivery. We were told the chair would arrive within 7 days. Instead we waited over three weeks, despite being continually told it would arrive on X day, and then X day, and then fed a sob story from the MD about how his staff had left, he received a large order, and he is raising young children!

Second problem: when it finally arrived, it had been delivered by DPD to a completely different location (a pub with a similar name a couple of miles away), so we had to track it down and collect it ourselves.

Third problem: the chair itself was wrong. We ordered a Humanscale Liberty and were sent a Humanscale Diffrient World chair instead, which is a different and cheaper model.

I emailed the company immediately to explain the issue and ask for it to be resolved. Despite the fact that the mistake is completely theirs, the Managing Director has not responded at all.

So to summarise the experience:
• Over three weeks waiting for delivery that was supposed to take 7 days
• The courier delivered it to the wrong place
• The wrong chair was supplied
• The company is now ignoring emails

For a business positioning itself as a premium refurbished office furniture specialist, the service has been extremely poor. At this point we are considering escalating the matter through our credit card provider because we cannot get a response from the company directly.

Very disappointing experience and I would not recommend ordering from Curated based on how this has been handled.

Where do I even begin? I’ve had an issue with an order which has taken over six weeks to resolve and required an unreasonable amount of time and effort on my part. It has been one of the most frustrating customer service experiences I’ve ever had.

In late December, I ordered a chair on eBay described as being in “good refurbished condition.” It arrived with visible marks and was full of thick hair stuck in the castors - clearly not as advertised. I asked for a return and was told a replacement would be arranged.

After waiting two weeks for a replacement after the chair was collected, a box finally arrived. It was the exact SAME chair, in the same box, with the same hair still in the castors. A week later, another replacement finally arrives. It took three further weeks and repeated chasing to finally get the original chair collected. I constantly had to chase updates and was repeatedly told deliveries or collections were arranged, only for nothing to happen. Over six weeks, I dealt with multiple representatives (two of whom left the company during this time) and even the company owner, and still the issue dragged on. I can't even count how many messages it has taken to get to this point.

I’ve been told twice that I should be expecting compensation for this total mess, but unsurprisingly, I’m now being ghosted again and no compensation has materialised.

I spent a lot of time comparing different sellers before choosing this one and I’m glad I did. The chair turned up securely wrapped and very clean. You could tell it had been checked over properly rather than just wiped down. Adjustments all work perfectly and it feels solid, not loose like some used furniture can be.

Communication was decent — not instant replies but always within the same day. Delivery was about 3–4 working days for me. Overall it feels like buying a premium product without paying the full showroom price. Happy with it and would recommend if you’re on the fence.

Came quicker than I thought and condition was way better than “refurbished” sounds. Only tiny scratch on the base but you can’t see it. Been using it all week and it’s comfy. Would order again 👍

Was a bit unsure ordering a refurbished chair online if I’m honest, but the experience turned out way better than expected. The chair arrived well packaged and looked almost brand new — I genuinely had to double check it wasn’t just a returned item. A couple of small marks underneath but nothing you’d ever notice in daily use.

Delivery took a few days longer than I hoped, but customer support replied quickly when I asked for an update which I appreciated. Been using the chair for about two weeks now working from home and my back already feels the difference compared to my old one.

For the price I paid, I’d definitely buy again. Feels like good value rather than cheap value, if that makes sense.

I recently bought a Herman Miller Sayl chair (Light Oatstone) from Curated and honestly I’m really happy with it overall.
The communication was very good. They replied fast to my questions and were clear about delivery and condition.
Shipping was smooth and quick. It was sent with DHL and fully tracked, so I could see where it was the whole time. Delivery was on time and the chair arrived well packed with no damage.
What really stands out is the price. It’s basically half the price of a brand new Herman Miller, which is crazy considering how good the quality is. These chairs are expensive new, so getting one refurbished at this price feels like a bargain.
