I recently completed a driver and wedge fitting at Custom Lab Golf. Really positive experience, there’s a great range of options to be fitted from.

However, in particular the fitting process Patrick runs through is excellent. He’s very knowledgable and able to answer all questions and advise on what the best direction to go for is. This is appreciated as we were able to future proof the club due to ongoing swing changes.

Relaxed atmosphere that isn’t rushed so you’re able to be very thorough and confident in the final set up.

An enjoyable couple of hours and highly recommended without hesitation.

Patrick is a first class fitter, he systematically went through all options to find me my optimum shaft for my new driver. He didn’t try and sell me anything I didn’t need or push me into an expensive solution. I will definitely be using him again. Thanks Paul

Went in for a retro fit after a few years to check my specs following some swing changes. The whole session was focused on improving my game rather than pushing new clubs, which was exactly what I was after.

We worked through shafts and lie angles using my current heads, and the differences were clear straight away. Everything was explained properly, and the recommendations felt based on performance rather than sales.

Came away with a setup that genuinely feels easier to swing and more consistent, without replacing anything unnecessarily. Really solid experience and exactly how a fitting should be done.

Patrick was brilliant. He took the time to help me relax and soon had me swinging a driver well. As a lady golfer with a faster swing and taller than most I was looking for a driver that would play to those strengths. I was delighted with the results and would really recommend him for lady golfers 👍👍👍👍

Excellent, friendly service with fitter who had great knowledge and understanding of what I needed. Easy to book, easy to find and a great experience. I will certainly be re attending for other parts of the golf when I next need to.

Have been twice, once for putter, once for driver and fairway shafts. Both times it was easy and comfortable. No up selling and genuine interest in doing what is best for the customer. Will certainly use again.

Great experience with Patrick at Custom Lab Golf.

Booking was straightforward online, with plenty of dates and times to choose from, which made it really easy to fit around my schedule.

The session itself was excellent. Patrick quickly identified a couple of simple tweaks to my driver that made a big difference — and importantly, saved me from spending unnecessarily on a mini driver I didn’t actually need.

We also worked through a new wedge setup, and I came away with a really well-fitted combination that felt great and much more consistent.

All of that was done in a relaxed, enjoyable environment with plenty of general sports chat along the way — made the whole experience feel easy and natural rather than overly technical.

A really well spent couple of hours. Would highly recommend.

This was my first proper club fitting experience and it completely exceeded expectations. Patrick was incredibly patient and thorough throughout, taking the time to dial in the right setup for me rather than rushing the process.

His knowledge and attention to detail really stood out, especially when explaining how everything works together — shaft, lie angle, club head and grip — and why those details matter.

What I appreciated most was his honesty. In areas where my current bag didn’t need improving, he advised against changing anything as the gains wouldn’t justify the cost. That gave me a lot of confidence that the focus was on performance, not just selling.

I ended up ordering a full set of clubs (excluding wedges and putter) and I’m genuinely excited to get them out on the course.

Highly recommend to anyone considering a proper fitting.

Definitely worth a try

This was my third visit to Custom Lab, with Patrick having helped me sort my irons and driver last year. This time I went to sort out fairways/hybrids and as before, Patrick was so helpful and impartial - pointing out clearly what looked best for my game with the data clearly backing that up. I had no hesitation in deciding which option and will be back in the future to add another wood and/or hybrid. I have a golf shop five minutes from my house but the 35 minute drive to Bedford is well worth it.

I was a returning customer to Customer Lab Golf, having previously been fitted for irons and wedges (which I have been delighted with). I wanted to get fitted for a new putter and driver. My experience was just as good as the first. Patrick is really knowledgeable and experienced, and was genuinely interested to find the best fit for me. No pushy sales patter or trying to manoeuvre me to a particular brand. Patrick has all the tech to provide proper, data driven fittings and is no more expensive than other sellers. Thank you Patrick - I’ll be back at some point to finish off the bag with woods.
