I ordered 2 tubes of this with a quantity of V-groove panelling as a means of fixing it to the wall. I put a continuous bead round the edges and more diagonally across the back of the first board. It spread well under light pressure, and after about 10 minutes I thought it would be stuck, but no, the silicon slowly parted and the board fell off. So I put some more hefty blobs on the back of the board and after 25 minutes it was well and truly stuck. The downside is that I had to hold it under pressure for too long before it went off. This is not practicable when there are a lot of boards to be secured by adhesive alone. I was recommended to use an Evo-stik mastic adhesive called 'sticks like s***' by a professional plasterer, which retails at 75% of the price of the BTF silicon and actually does what it says - sticks the board to the wall permanently in less than 2 minutes! So sorry Cutmy, your mastic is over priced and ineffective. I won't be buying any more from you. (The v-groove boarding on the other hand is cracking stuff).

310ml
Primerless adhesion on all common construction materials (glass, plastics, masonry substrates, metals and wood). This white silicone is durable, weatherproof and can withstand high and low temperatures.
- White in colour
- Low modulus neutral cure silicone
- Primerless adhesion on most surfaces
A neutral cure silicone can be used for most building, construction and glazing applications. It’s almost completely odourless and cures with atmospheric moisture to form a durable rubber seal that can withstand movement and is long-lasting. Neutral cure silicone sealants have better adhesive properties for plastics and polycarbonate, so they’re a popular choice when working with acrylic sheeting.
Silicone sealants can be used for a wide variety of applications thanks to their strong UV resistance, temperature resistance, flexibility and durability. Some silicone sealants can have a strong odour as a result of the acetic acid in them, but neutral cure silicone releases alcohol instead of acid so it’s virtually odourless.
While neutral cure silicone can cure at a slower speed than some other silicones, depending on the temperature, humidity and thickness, they’re a great choice for materials where an alkoxy or acetoxy substance might react to the material, causing discolouration or erosion. If you’re working on outdoor applications, such as greenhouses or roofing, neutral cure silicone is a better choice as it offers better adhesion and weatherproofing properties compared to acetoxy silicones.

Good product did exactly what was required.
really did not work to keep the acrylic splash back in place, never dried, our builder end up having to use a different one that worked. would not recommend this particular product .
