Products are amazing, everything looks amazing, shipping was extremely fast. Gift box had a damaged corner, postage box had no damage.
Was the only thing, because it is a GIFT, and the GIFT box was damaged.
I understand this was a small order, and maybe the gift box was overlooked.
All in all, great products, service and shipping.

Should’ve switched to a straight razor ages ago! A bit daunting at first but there’s something super satisfying about shaving with a straight razor instead of a disposable or electric razor. Can’t wait to get better with it and start experiment with different blades!

Unparalleled Experience Worthy of a Sitcom Episode
Firstly, the kit is awesome, the products are great and the swag in the box is hands down second to none in terms of presentation. I couldn't be happier with the products.
Secondly, I want to offer a testament to their devotion and dedication to their customer base by sharing my negative experience turned positive.
I ordered March 10, 2023, and it was shipped out that same day. However, I am in the EU and the item was shipped from the UK. I knew and expected this, so I was likewise expecting to pay for VAT and import fees. I could have ordered from within EU and avoided that, but I felt very intrigued to order from them because the site and the user experience made me feel like these folks really do care about their image and business. That hunch turned out to be correct, as evidenced by the challenges that later arose and their constant communication during it.
I had a very difficult time with the customs clearance. This was entirely due to the behaviour and mentality of people working in the shipping company. I won't go in to specifics of which company, but the country I'm in is widely known for having the worst customer service imaginable. Compounding to the problem is an even stronger distaste for dealing with foreigners living here, of which I am.
Due to this, the package was needlessly held up in customs for more than week while trying to navigate the muddy waters of rude and unhelpful "customer service" representatives who would simply hang up the phone, give one sentence responses with no detail or elaboration on the questions, no directions on how to proceed or even answer the phone and put the headset on the desk while they went about their work typing away. Email communications with the shipping agency were likewise horrible, as the only thing they repeatedly replied with was a response telling me to fill out a form containing the shippers business information (EORI, VPID) and information about the tarrif data, etc.
Cut Throat support folks informed me that they had already provided all data to the shipping agency repeatedly. But I won't lie - at one point I even went and pulled Cut Throat Clubs parent company registration data, company filings and EORI number to verify the legitimacy. The friendliness of their staff had gotten me suspicious at one point, another repercussion of living in this country for so long where you begin to question the motive behind positive customer service experiences.
Once digging deeper in to things on my end, it became abundantly clear that the shipping agency basically screwed up everything that they could, including switching the costs to the wrong currency which more than doubled the duties due. And as far as sending me the paperwork wanting company tax details for the sender, this was simply the laziness of the workers not wanting to do their job.
Throughout all of the fiasco of dealing with this, the folks at Cut Throat Club remained extremely responsive and vigilante in working with the shipper from their end to try and clear it up. The customer service of Cut Throat Club is absolutely astounding and leaves little to nothing to be desired.
They repeatedly offered solutions to compensate for the situation despite it really not being their fault. For example, they offered to refund the amount in full in good faith/will and to revisit if and when the package arrived. While I did come quite close to cancelling the order, I felt some of the offers for resolution they made put all risk and burden on them, yielding such a pleasant and refreshing experience from the "norm" I've grown used to living here that I became determined to get the shipping mess sorted and turn what was a horrible experience in to a happy one for both parties.
After all this, I can honestly say it is incredibly apparent that their brand image and reputation are of utmost importance to them. I will recommend them to everyone I know, and I will do business with them again; Though next time I'll ship to another destination country and deal with a forwarding company.
Thank you guys for the awesome responsiveness and the eagerness to make this a good experience. I've not had such a customer oriented interaction since I've moved here and may put another order in soon just to experience it again.
