I’ve relied on CVS for my prescriptions, but this recent experience was shocking. The app said I needed pre-authorization, but my doctor confirmed there wasn’t any issue. When I called the pharmacy, t... See more

Apparently since CVS has acquired an Insurance Company, they have allowed the Pharmacy service to run into the ground. In my opinion, CVS Pharmacy was one of the best and most reliable at one time. T... See more
Worst Pharmacy and Consistent at other Stores.
Just horrible. It's possibly the worst place to try and get a script filled. 10-20 minutes always turns into an hour or two. The staff aren't friendly to you unless you know them. One guy in front of me they flat out accused him of being a drug addict and that he should know the dates he was supposed to fill. 5-7 people could hear the entire conversation and the guy's son was so embarrassed. The oddest incident for me was when I took in a script for a broken arm. Forget what I was getting, but the scripts were from the ER down the the street. Yes, I was haggard looking and beaten up looking, but even with ID and all--they said something seemed odd and they needed to speak to the Dr. They could not get a hold of him that night. I went through about 36 hours of incredible pain after having my left elbow reset from being dislocated with minor fractures. The Dr. finally called them back while I was there and he asked to speak to me. The Dr asked if there were any other issues and I said "No". He said "Good, because I hate dealing with CVS and those people are the most inept minimum waged clerks who like to wield power when they have a bad day. Never been back since. They did kiss my butt the entire time I was waiting. I get the FDA rules and DEA rules they need to follow, but there's no excuse for letting a person with a cast on his arm. script with watermark, and me having all my ID and insurance. Worst part was they said I couldn't get my script back as they had to confirm it was not fraudulent. For 10 pain pills. Like I would risk my career and family for 10 pain pills. I wish they'd go out of business, but it will take some time. I know several people in my city do not go there and will even hit Wal-Mart hell before walking into a CVS.
I am reviewing the CVS on Celanese Rd, Rock Hill, SC!!!!!
I am reviewing the CVS on Celanese Rd in Rock Hill SC. The Pharmacists need to take lessons on how to treat their clients, all clients. Just because a person is on pain medication does not make them an addict. Profiling a client for being on pain medication is wrong as well, also the Pharmacists playing god and refusing to fill pain prescriptions that a DR. wrote!!! The Pharmacists categorically treat clients that are on pain management different then one lets say on BP meds. They bold face lie to you there, telling you it is policy to not fill maintenance meds on the 3rd shift, that you had to wait untill 8AM. I personally called in two prescriptions in the night, around 5ish, and they filled them but when it came time to fill my pain meds they refused to fill them at night, stating it was "policy". It is NOT policy, it has to do with the lazy 3rd shift Pharmacist not wanting to do his job!!! So if you plan on taking your business there to that CVS on Celanese Rd, you have been warned...I have moved my business to South End in Rock Hill SC and it is private, family owned and they will give you top of the line service and Never profile you!!!!!
Crash course @ CVS miniclinic
I went to a CVS miniclinic in my neighborhood to check my cough on Dec. 24th. It was suppose to be quick and easy, instead I learned nothing about my cough but I did learn a lot about CVS billing system with the RNP and tech-support for more then 30mins.
I went to another CVS miniclinic days later but to the same effect...this time I waited almost 1hr and 20mins just to be seen(with online pre-register) I cant belive I even had to pay for it. Its not worth it.
Switching to new pharmacy after last trip here
My dr. called in prescription - over 24 hours later I went to pick up. No record of dr.'s call, no prescription, nothing. I had paperwork from dr. with me confirming their store, location, date and prescription call in time - nothing. So after waiting in pick up line for 24 minutes, I was told to wait in drop off line because 1) there was no record, 2) there was record of call, but problem with medication, 3) they were out of medication - take your pick. the story kept changing.
So I waited in the drop off line = another 7 minutes = showed paperwork again and after looking at insurance card three times, clicking around on computer for over 5 minutes, it turns out that (wait for it) - oh yeah, you can pick that up on aisle 13. topical over the counter cream.
Seriously??? John ('drop off guy') was surly and rude. Like it was MY fault.
After going to them for over 20 years, and seeing customer service, at the pharmacy area especially, I am saying, "Never again.". Finally time to switch.
CVS Sucks
Recently, (late last week) I had CVS Caremark transfer my prescriptions (2) to CVS EastBluff, Newport Beach. My doctor then called in a prescription (which CVS Caremark would not take back). All understoood what the doctor's office had wanted and CVS called and stated the new prescription is ready for pickup. When I arrived at CVS they said "there is a problem" you've already got this prescription. This kind of service is poor. Either a prescription is ready or it is not.
I will now have to return to CVS and I'll just pay out of pocket and by the way, they did not give back my CVS Caremark card so I'll have to try to retrieve that as well.
