I have had over 30 motorcycles at this time in my life, sold all but 3, and figured to cover more area I would list with cycle trader, seams to be a waste of time, in listing the last 3, got very few inquiry’s, almost always was sold on a craigslist add, and many more people at least making offers. Just my experience.

As a seller, Cycle Trader has practically the same features as Facebook Marketplace, but you have to pay to post.
-There seem to be even more scammers on CT than FM
-The messaging system on CT is terrible
-The only way to report scammers is to call or email
-You still handle payments outside of CT
I have found no reason the sell on CT over FB other than the slightly better search function.

Got zero legitimate inquiries for a gorgeous bike at a very fair price. Only got scammers either playing the “Pay My Shipper” scam or the “Buy A Vehicle History Report From X” scam. This site is just a platform for scammers from what I experienced.

I have been hesitant to review Cycle Trader early on in order to give them a fair review. Cycle Trader is the best resource out there for finding a quality motorcycle. I found five of the last six bikes I bought on Cycle Trader. However, in my experience it is a nightmare for individual sellers. Cycle Trader lives up to their end as far as the listings go. No issues. The results on the other hand are something completely different. After 11 weeks with three bikes listed I have been contacted by three people who are looking for bikes, none of who live closer than 500 miles from me, one who lives 2000 miles from me. All three were just looking for information to help them choose their bike locally. I can live with that. The nightmare is the 30 plus contacts from persons or bots posing as potential buyers, but actually soliciting for ratemyride.com, vehiclesreports.com, or some other similar service. Six hits within 24 hours of listing. It would be nice if Cycle Trader would get their IT department to write some code that would red flag these types of reprehensible solicitations for review. But I could even live with that if I had even gotten even one legitimate potential buyer from among the THREE motorcycles I have had listed for the last eleven weeks. All three were priced well into the low end of equivalent bikes. I did sell one bike, but not through Cycle Trader. I cannot recommend them for individuals trying to sell their bikes.

Sold my motorcycle in 4 days so I’d give CT 10 stars for that! The reason I took off one star is I was contacted by two separate scammers who each wanted me to buy vehicle reports from companies they claimed they trusted. Fortunately, I’m cynical and didn’t fall for their scam but someone easily could. I think CT should do more to protect sellers and weed out the low lives, or at least warn sellers of common scams

It is great experience besides uploading less than 10 pictures.

All good but a little high on price to submit an add. paid $137.00 and in a little over 1 week only 16 looks. Really not sure people are turning to cycle trader as much as in the past. (I could be wrong) ,I have lowered the price twice. My only contact were phishing trying to get me to purchase a VIN check service.

Difficult to find our motorcycle on the site. Even when we type in the exact description, all premium ads come up first. Frustrating. The price differential between the medium and the premier is extensive and we couldn't afford it. The package we purchased is not getting any hits.

Easy to post- simple to communicate with interested buyers- would be nice if you dropped the standard 'is the bike still available' inquiry line.

Shortly after I posted was inundated with fake vin report scammers and cashiers check scams. Not one legitimate lead. I pulled my ad the day after I posted. I asked for a refund by two different methods and never got a response. Will never use Cycle Trader again

This is my first time selling a bike on Cycletrader.com. I think the cost is a little high to run the ad but it seems to be a good site. I've been contacted by 3 separate scammers so I wish there was a better way to filter to actual buyer's. Market seems to be a little screwed right now and everyone wants to offer less for your bike. I will probably let the ad end and try to sell at a later date.

Used to be a good place to get exposure for your motorcycle.
This time I’ve listed 2 bikes and I’m disappointed in the results so far

Probably the 4 time I list the motorcycle and still has not sold. All contacts are bogus. I bet it won’t sell this time too

Bike was easy to list and it sold
