Cyprus Villa Retreats Reviews 

Had a wonderful week's stay at Villa Sarah with my Family to celebrate my 40th Birthday. Communication with the CVR Team leading up to and during our stay was great and made the experience all the more enjoyable. The Villa itself is amazing, sitting up overlooking Potima Bay, a prime location to watch the Sun dipping down into the Mediterranean while enjoying a BBQ washed down with a glass of the local Cypriot Wine or a cold glass of Keo, it had everything we could wish for and made it hard to leave when wanting to head out and explore parts of the Island. Look forward to coming back to Cyprus Again and hopefully Stay at Villa Sarah again or one of the other Beautiful Villas that CVR Offer.

Contact prior to arrival was good. Villa was well located and spacious. It was clean and there was plenty of kitchenware to accommodate 11 of us.
Definitely recommend.

The villa was spotless, stylish, and fully equipped with everything we needed. The private pool was perfect for relaxing, and a perfect location just a short walk from shops, restaurants, and beaches. The company was friendly and helpful throughout. Highly recommend — we’d love to come back!

Me and my family 7 of us stayed at Villa katerina for 2 weeks. We got married while we were over there. It was in a perfect location and only 5 minutes from our wedding venue! The villa was very spacious and every bedroom has a bathroom. The pool was absolutely perfect the kids loved it! We hired the jacuzzi for 7 nights and I would definitely recommend hiring it, we used it every day! If we ever needed anything we would email and have a reply within an hour! Thanks again for a brilliant stay 👍🏼

Villa Sanctuary is very spacious, private and peaceful. Great for a relaxing holiday. Lovely pool. The location is good, not far to Peyia village or to Coral Bay, but a car is definitely recommended as there are very steep hills around the villa. Booking with CVR is straightforward. Guest Support respond quickly to any queries. This is our 3rd time going to a CVR villa, can recommend and will certainly book with them again.

From start to finish the service was outstanding! The villa was spotless and the location was a described, perfect!

I have been visiting Cyprus for 23 years and also lived there for 4 years, I can honestly say I thought I had seen it all but Cyprus Villa Retreats have topped it!

Cyprus villa retreats have been so helpful and accommodating. We couldn't have asked for more we have had the best time staying with them. The villas are beautiful and perfect location.

Disappointing experience.
Booked a villa six months in advance. Paid in full for Villa and received a reminder to pay damages deposit. E mailed to query this as I had been informed it was due 7 days before arrival and heard nothing for weeks. Chased this up, to be informed that the owner of the villa had decided to sell and we could no longer stay there.
Alternative villas offered were nowhere near the standard of what we had originally booked. When we called to discuss this, we were informed that there wasn’t much available at such short notice, as if we had chosen to have our original booking cancelled!
After several phone calls, we agreed on a less luxurious villa, with the same amount of bedrooms and similar facilities - CVR tried to convince us that this was an upgrade, when both are graded as Gold and the original villa booked was far more modern and in a better location. CVR promised to ensure that we had a good stay.
Directions to the Villa consisted of a Google Maps pin drop - useless when your phone won’t connect to a local network. We spent over an hour driving round in the dark, trying to find the villa. Actual instructions would have saved us that hour.
Having friends who have used CVR in the past, we expected that we would at least find a pint of milk and maybe some bread, on arrival. Nothing at all, except for an ice cream left in the freezer by previous occupants (cleaning not up to scratch). Having visited the area many times, we were more than comfortable visiting supermarkets to stock up-we just would have expected a few basics, when arriving late at night (Every UK self catering facility we have stayed at has!)
Out of curiosity, we went to look at the villa that we had originally booked, to find that there was a hire car parked on the drive and people staying there-this may have been the owners but I doubt it.
I had requested a later check out and been advised to ask two days before leaving, which I did, only to be refused point blank-no discussion, no flexibility.
So much for making sure we had a great stay! We would have only asked for a couple of hours and would have paid!
Sadly, I would not recommend, based on our experience.

Very bad service. Me and my family were searching high and low for the best villa available for our needs. We all agreed on the villa and agreed to request the villa and pay the reservation fee. The next day we got a notifcation stating the request had been declined. The pricing was wrong, it was £600 more than originally priced on the website. We gave them the benefit of the doubt with the error, and decided we would pay more money as the villa ticked all boxes. We reserved again at the higher rate, and they have let the reservation expire and not even bothered to message why or reply to our messages questioning this. Very Very bad service I would not recommend getting high hopes with this company.

Great location for a villa! The customer support was excellent — super helpful and responsive. We had a fantastic time and will definitely come again!

Cyprus villa retreats cancelled our booking a year after we made it & only weeks away from our holiday. They made up a story about works being carried out in the area & would be unsafe for any one staying there. Funny it was the same villa as a previous review where they were told the villa had been sold !! (villa Sapphire) Our relatives who live in the area checked out the ‘works’ & as expected there are none. Let down at the last minute & lied to. Can’t trust them

4 of us stopped in Villa Margarita for the week, and we all can't speak highly enough of Cyprus villa Retreats, and the Villa.
Location of the villa is perfect, it's in a quiet area but within walking distance to the main strip in coral bay and Legends bar is around 200m away which has evening entertainment and food is lovely. The villa its self has everything you could possibly need, pool got cleaned almost daily, the accommodation was clean and well presented, and had amazing views.
Any contact with Cyprus villa retreats was easy and quickly responded to from booking all the way through to allowing us extra time in the villa on departure day.

We will 100% be using Cyprus villa retreats in the future and will recommend others to in the future.

"Nightmare Experience with Cyprus Villa Retreats" - Proceed with Extreme Caution! In May 2024, I booked Villa Sapphire for a crucial part of my friends' wedding celebrations, paying a £1000 deposit, (might add on top of the villa price). We were a group of six, all in our forties, looking forward to a relaxing stay. The villa I initially inquired about wasn't available, but they offered Villa Sapphire, assuring me it was perfect. I specifically asked about the possibility of villas being sold and was told it was extremely rare, with a guarantee of a 'match for match' replacement if it did occur. Two months before our trip, they cancelled, citing a sale. The replacement villas were vastly inferior – smaller, further from the beach (a 10-minute drive instead of a short walk), and not in Coral Bay, where the wedding was taking place. Their communication was nonexistent when I requested a refund. Only after I copied the Cyprus Ministry of Tourism into my emails did they acknowledge my request and process the refund. The stress and anxiety caused by this company were unbearable, nearly ruining a once-in-a-lifetime event. Protect yourself and book through reputable platforms like Booking.com or Airbnb. Do not make the same mistake I did."

Booking with Cyprus Villa Retreats was easy and they are very professional. The villa was as advertised and very clean. We were met at the villa on arrival and given a tour and explanation of everything we would need for our stay. We asked for more towels and they were delivered straight away. They were extremely helpful and a special thanks to Ma'te'. They have even emailed me with a list of objects we left behind and would we like them posted/saved. We had no issues during our stay and would definitely book through Cyprus Villa Retreats again.

We had a largely enjoyable stay at Villa Atlantica during our two-week vacation in September. The villa itself is attractive and well-equipped, living up to the description. However, we did encounter some issues with the water supply which needed frequent contact with guest support for resolution. Additionally, there were some maintenance needs such as clearing bird droppings and fixing an air conditioning unit and toilet flush mechanism. Despite these challenges, communication with Cyprus Villa Retreats was generally effective and responsive. We appreciate the efforts they made to address these concerns during our stay. Overall, the villa offers a comfortable and stylish environment, and with a few improvements, it could be an excellent choice for a holiday.

We stayed at Villa Pegalia 5th-12th November. It is in a good location, quiet and private so nice and relaxing. Being November we requested the pool heating which was excellent.
We had a couple of issues which were resolved very quickly.
This is the second time this year we have been to Cyprus with CVR and will definitely use them again.
Would like to mention Tony B from CVR who was very helpful on both occasions.

Great and clean Villa. The service of Cyprus Villa Retreats was perfect - they reply quickly and really want us to have a perfect holiday experience. We had a great time!

Villa Sapphire is in a great location, walking distance to the beach and local restaurants. It was very clean on arrival with a lot of space for 2 family’s (including 6 children!) to relax and not be on top of each other. The games (snooker, table tennis and PlayStation) were a great extra to keep the children entertained as well as the hot tub and swimming pool. I’d definitely come back to Coral Bay and recommend booking with Cyprus Villa retreats- great communication before & during the holiday.

We were a group of 10 family members (including my elderly parents) and we stayed at the Villa Atlantica in August 2024.

The entire holiday was absolutely horrendous from start to finish. We had no running water inside the villa on 3 separate occasions during the week, with the longest being for over 36 hours. Cyprus Villa Retreats did not send anyone to investigate the issue during this time, instead replying to our emails by suggesting we "use water from the swimming pool to flush the toilet cisterns". Our repeated requests for assistance were ignored and most of our phone calls went completely unanswered. We eventually resolved the situation ourselves by resetting the water pump. Eventually after 36 hours, CVR finally decided to send a water tanker to refill the tank to its maximum capacity. Four hours and four very short showers later the water completely shut off again for a further 12-hour period.

We also experienced another 12-hour loss of water, ants in the kitchen and both of the upstairs front bedrooms, and a huge snake in the outdoor shower tray, where all 10 members of our group (including my parents in their 80s) had been forced to shower on 4 nights out of our 7 night stay.

Cyprus Villa Retreats attempted to blame the local municipality for the issues, but all the neighbouring properties (including their own 8-bedroomed property directly across the road) experienced no issues, and when I contacted the Local Municipal Office myself they confirmed there were no issues with the water supply. A member of their own maintenance team also confirmed that the system was completely inadequate to supply the villa.

Despite sending a 3-page letter detailing all of the problems we encountered in August, CVR have since booked out the villa to other guests during September. When those guests have left negative reviews regarding this very same issue on Facebook, Cyprus Villa Retreats have claimed they have not received any other guest feedback regarding this!

We have received no apology or explanation from this company. The customer service was absolutely appalling, both during our stay and subsequently following our correspondence.

Please avoid this company at all costs, particularly as you are required to pay only by bank transfer which leaves you completely unprotected in these circumstances.
