I paid £1400 for a damaged sofa

I paid £1400 for a sofa, and when it arrived it had two huge lines running across it from top to bottom — one of them honestly looked like it had been cut into the fabric. I waited a few days hoping the marks would disappear, but they never did.

When I contacted customer service with photos, their response was basically telling me to buy a brush and brush the sofa regularly because these were supposedly “transit lines caused during packaging and transportation.” That is absolutely ridiculous. If I’m paying £1400 for a sofa, I do not expect to receive something that looks damaged or defective and then be told to fix it myself.

This company is clearly selling faulty products and making excuses instead of taking responsibility. Honestly, if I had read these reviews beforehand, I would never have bought from them. I will never purchase anything from this company again.

Please avoid buying from them, and definitely do not buy without seeing the furniture in person first if you have a chance.

In your particular case, the marks visible on the velvet fabric may potentially be transit or pressure marks caused during packaging and transportation. Velvet is a delicate material that can naturally show shading, pressure lines, or pile movement after being compressed in transit. Regular maintenance using a soft upholstery brush can often help restore the fabric’s appearance by lifting and realigning the velvet pile.

However, we completely understand your concerns and appreciate that this was not the experience you expected when receiving your sofa.

10/10 products great quality…

10/10 products great quality instructions understandable communication clear.

So pleased next week will get a second also purchased the best mattress and well worth the money firm with enough give to make it feel comfortable everyone that sat on it said it’s perfect.

High quality and good service

I ordered a king size bed, High quality fabic and frame is also well fitted.
The service is really good with handling customer issues and ne delay.
I asked them to get my garage key and put the item inside while I was at work then put the key in the letter box and Eric and Scott the delivary staff members did exactly that.
Also I want to thank Keiron from customer service for his help.

Nice item, broke 2nd use

The item arrived a week earlier than expected which is great in time fir a sunny Bank Holiday.
A few of the beads are attached unevenly, which we could live with. But on the second use, the handle failed, rendering the parasol useless as a sun shade as it just falls back down
I contacted customer service by email to request a replacement and am now being told that my email address - my only email address, and the one to which they even sent order confirmation, doesn't match their records so they can't deal with my complaint.
What began as a loyalty purchase based on prior good experience (4th large purchase) has now degerated to a very poor quality.

Received the product without nuts and…

Received the product without nuts and bolts. I emailed to say I had bought them else where but pointed it out and received a rude email back almost accusing me of lying although I was not after any compensation. I would recommend not to buy from this company. Poor poor quality and service. Much better places to buy from.

Quality & exceptional design

Daals furniture is always of such good quality and the designs can be both modern and retro, fitting into all types of decor. My wife and I have bought several items over the last couple of years. What makes it even better is the delivery service. Professional, courteous, on time and very careful - these people are probably the only physical touch point with end customers and they, pardon the pun, really deliver.
