Return within 30 days is empty promise

My daughter made a terrible mistake buying the Timber sectional from Daals.com without having fully absorbed the deception behind the return policy as it appears in the upfront statement "Return within 30 days", which appears two lines below "Free delivery on orders over $999". Daals.com makes this "Return'' statement knowing that the charge for return of any oversized item, such as a sofa (and who knows what else), will incur a $49 fee, a 10% restocking fee and an additional 25% fee, all before the buyer needs to shell out an unknown amount for the actual return shipping. The information on possible return shipping costs appears to be a closely held secret of Daals.com. You only learn the address of the nearest warehouse after you have sent Daals.com an email stating that you want to arrange a return. The FedEx quote I received for freight shipping back to the nearest warehouse in New Jersey (and this is from Seattle) is $1320, more than the $1099.99 cost of the sofa (before tax). This makes a return completely unrealistic, and you would have to be insane to even consider it. It is unbelievably unethical and dishonest of Daals.com to post "Return within 30 days" upfront without being completely above board, including openly declaring, without being prompted, that return of oversized items from the indicated zip code is not realistic and the buyer should be forced to check a box acknowledging that, if he or she proceeds with the purchase. Absent that, I conclude that Daals.com is interested only in moving merchandise and getting your money and the buyer be damned beyond that. I would bet that the return policy, such as it is, is a key feature of the Daals.com business model in the USA. If you are considering buying any oversized item that you have not actually touched or sat on, don't do and look elsewhere.

Card charged product never received

I received a table packaged in 2 boxes from daals.com. One of the tables was the wrong color. I contacted daals to try to get the correct color. They made me take several pictures and send them over email - pictures of the wrong item, pictures of the box. They finally sent a FedEx tracking number and the box was picked up.

- At first, I had to wait until it was shipped to their location.
- Now, I have to wait until the box is in their system.
- Then I was emailed that "We will ensure to refund you as soon as it has been confirmed as returned on our system" (I'm looking for an exchange not a refund)
- The latest update is "There is an internal issue within our warehouse which we are trying to investigate"

This has "scam" written all over it.

My card was charged over 3 weeks ago for over 800 and I have half a product.

Any decent company would have just sent out the correct color box right away and would have dealt with the return.

Horrible quality furniture and even…

Horrible quality furniture and even worse customer service! I tried posting a review on their website of a piece I bought that was of so low quality the top board broke during assembly. They would not offer a refund nor would they replace the broken part. They also did not post the review I made, they only post their 5 star reviews. Huge scam.

didn’t get lucky with their product

They don’t allow all honest reviews in their website. I thought their products were good when I saw only 4&5 star reviews but after I left them a one star review, I noticed it never posted. My products arrived scratched and damaged. They gave me a partial refund but still don’t think I would have bought the tables for that price if I knew what I was getting.

STAY AWAY! DO NOT PURCHASE!


I cannot stress enough how much I regret purchasing from Daals.com. I bought a coffee table without checking reviews, and it turned out to be a huge mistake! The quality is absolutely horrible. It arrived with a noticeable scratch, and every time I clean it with a soft cloth and a bit of water, it leaves unsightly marks on the wood that won't come off. Do yourself a favor and avoid this site!

SCAMERS

I purchased 1 living room furniture they shipped to me and then one week later they sent me the same other one and they charged me for it
When I saw the email for the second order I emailed to cancel the mistake they did they refused and I end up with second one and they charged me for it
I had to pay 150 for ups return and 50 bucks for restocking fees
And it there mistake
BEWARE SCAM COMPANY
WILL NEVER PURCHASE ANYTHING FOR THEM ANYMORE
and will tell all our friends and family about it.

Refusing to provide full refund for canceled order

I purchased a table for pre-order and then I decided to get a different item so I canceled my order before it shipped. Daals only has an email contact system so I emailed them. They missed my cancelation email and proceeded to ship it the next day. Now they are refusing to provide a full refund and charging me for a restocking fee that I'm not responsible for.

DO NOT order from this company!!

DO NOT order from this company!!! Please beware! We ordered a table from this company. We were not notified when the package was delivered and it was stolen. Daals refused to help us with a refund or replacement. Also, they can not be contacted by phone. Only by email. We lost our money and was never sent a replacement. I will never shop here again!! You have been warned!!

Daals fined me £30 for their mistake

Gave me a 2 hour slot 1-3 to reject their proposed delivery day (which was the next day). As a teacher i cant look at my phone in work. I tried to call Daals after work but they were closed.
I tried to call Daals in the morning but they were closed.
They sent me a three hour window which i couldn't be there for. I tried to arrange a friend/family or neighbour to collect but it was such short notice everyone was busy.
I was fined £30 for not being there to collect.
I rung daals to discuss this but was never put onto a manager despite asking.
One time they put me on hold for 15 minutes then hung up. There was always a reason why their supervisors were busy.
Never experienced worse customer service.

THE WORST customer service I have EVER…

THE WORST customer service I have EVER experienced. This company are run by scammers and are a complete joke. Our £800 furniture set was delivered with half of the parts missing. After 3 weeks of being promised delivery of the missing parts, I filed a dispute with our credit card provider. It then took a further 4 weeks for Daals to collect the incomplete set and get the 3 massive boxes out of our way. So 7 weeks of storing an incomplete garden set and finally we have a refund from our credit card providers.

Daals - you should be ashamed of yourselves.

Can confirm ALL of the terrible reviews. It's more or less a scam.
They make the delivery as complicated as possible so you have to cancel or return, and then charge you a crazy amount for "restocking", etc.
Please be warned this is not an honest company.

Not a good company

Not a good company. The item that they sent looks nothing like the picture. It is not even as described and their return policy is the absolute worst. I am ending up paying for half of some thing I have to return on my own.

Really disappointed with my delivery…

Really disappointed with my delivery this morning!
I’ve ordered my bedroom furniture… I live on my own!
They deliver it this morning to tell me it cannot be taken upstairs to my bedroom!
What company sells bedroom furniture that cannot be delivered to a bedroom! I now have boxes of furniture sat in my lounge!
Your website only says will not deliver upstairs to flats and will deliver to communal areas but nothing about house deliveries!

Terrible customer service

Ordered a parasol and the bottom pole was missing. Took 9 emails for them to understand what was missing and now I have to wait up to 10 days for it to be collected then up to 10 days for a refund

The saga continues

The saga continues

This has been going on 6 months, argued with them for selling us a broken bed. We finally got them to agree to send us replacement parts. Was told they would collect the old parts. New parts came finally but old parts weren’t collected. It’s now been 2 months and they still haven’t collected the broken parts so we have a 6ft box just sat in our living room. They are now denying they will collect the parts and told us to dispose of it…. Which will either cost us to hire a removal company or hire someone to take it to the skip.

The perfect end to this s*** show of a transaction. By the looks of these reviews they’ve completely given up at trying to be a half way decent company. AVOID THEM AT ALL COSTS.

Disastrous customer experience...

Do not purchase on this website, the quality, delivery and customer service are disastrous.

My customer experience has been very draining. Daals fails to meet customer's needs and expectations in terms of service quality and overall customer experience causing further inconvenience.

Wrong items being sent, replacement and refunds take ages and product quality is extremely poor. The customer service is totally inflexible and does not accommodate to clients' needs.

Avoid at all costs

Ordered a side table and payment of £99 was made. Had an email from skirting the next day saying I couldn’t have it as they were low in stock and needed to be sold in a set. Misadvertised, mid-sold and misinformed. Poor! Avoid st all costs.

Scumbags

Scumbags. Daal’s; They send me the wrong colour sofa bed, force me to pay to return it, then accuse me of damaging the item and trying to take 10% off the refund when the pictures they sent IS OF A DIFFERENT COLOUR SOFABED! I have pictures to prove the colours are different. No apology for the lies, obviously refund me the full amount. No reimbursement for the £33 fedex deliverly I paid. Wish I had been more thorough with my checks. SCUM
