At 8p.m. having done 18000 steps round York to walk off a late lunch we (the wife) decided a snack was necessary. York nightlife was pulsating and the pubs were heaving and loud. Fortunately we came across Damastique and walked into a busy but serene establishment where we were able to order a couple of starters each along with a zesty lemon and lime drink. Food was served quickly, was very tasty, reasonably priced and absolutely what we wanted at the time. Although we only wanted 'small' food I checked out the menu and the other choices looked/sounded very appetising- would happily go back there for a larger meal. Very impressed.
