I wish I had read the reviews before ordering from them. I ordered a bag which arrived damaged so I emailed them. No reply, so emailed again a week later and eventually got a response. Replied to that... See more

Attention to detail and care - zero
I ordered a dress and received a top . They took 3 weeks to reply to my email about this. They eventually responded saying dress was now sold out. They did not care .
Wrong item sent then I was ignored
Ordered a dress, they sent me a completely different dress from what I ordered. I followed their guidelines and submitted a request to get the correct item and they never even replied to my request/emails. Terrible.
I bought a belt online but the quality…
I bought a belt online but the quality was so bad that I decided to returned to the shop. So I got an email saying that I have a voucher for less money than I spent and when I went to use it the lady at the shop couldn't find my voucher so I end up waiting another 2 weeks so by the time that they call me to go and get it I decided that the clothes were rubbish and I didn't want to expend more money there. Superbad service.
Dangerfield online has to be the worst online experience
Dangerfield online has to be the worst online ordering experience of my life! I bought 4 items on the 3rd of January and I got 2 of them confirmed and sent separately? Then my free mask that came with the order also came separately so 3 packages so far which was annoying… TWO weeks later I get an email with a credit saying one of my items isn’t available, why am I finding out TWO weeks later? THREE weeks later I get yet another email with a credit saying the item that I did the whole order for isn’t available now? THREE WEEKS LATER. After I’ve paid and been waiting! The customer service online isn’t helpful at all, they didn’t even respond to my last email with questions. I just tried calling them and I don’t know why I expected competency there but of course, no answer. I now have items that I can’t wear because they go with the main item that I find out THREE WEEKS LATER that I can’t have now. Why have it on the site to buy if they have to “source” all items, they’re selling things to people without even knowing they have the stock!? It’s such a stupid system.
I already wasn’t a fan because of their weird cuts to clothing, nothing fits correctly I noticed, I’m wide and things still gape in the back, where are they getting their measurements from?
This is the end of my purchasing from Dangerfield now. I can’t deal with the online customer service and the flawed online ordering system. Terrible.
Overpriced clothes and awful staff
Super overpriced for the quality of the clothes. Very unethical practices. In-store staff are rude, unprofessional and untrained and online staff are unresponsive, especially towards complaints. Repeatedly tried to get in contact with an area manager to make a serious complaint about staff with no responses.
I kind of regret buying from them.
I ordered from Dangerfield back in March 2021 and I had no issues with them. Ordered 3 shirts and got them all within a month (I'm in Canada) so when I wanted to spend some money on Boxing Day I ran to dangerfields website, picked out 5 items costing $200 total. Everything got refunded except one shirt. I emailed them over 24 hours ago and haven't heard a single thing.
They still have the items that were refunded listed for purchase on their website so I dont understand what's happening. This is ridiculous.
Disappointed
I recently ordered five dresses from Dangerfield NZ for the first time (presuming they would be shipped from their NZ stores), but after a week they shipped one dress from Australia and then cancelled the rest of my order after another week when they ‘couldn’t source the items’. There was no direct contact or apology, and three weeks later the one dress they shipped is still yet to arrive. I was refunded, but I’m very disappointed in the (clearly overwhelmed and/or non-existent) customer service. If the clothing is not available for online orders, why not take them down from your online store?
After 30 years as a customer, I’m done.
I’ve been shopping at Dangerfield since the 90’s. I used to buy my recycled denim from their tiny double store in Greville St, Prahran. If I had a party or rave to go to, Dangerfield was my go to for a new outfit for the past 30 years! I recently ordered 2 pairs of overalls online. I purchased a size too big so I returned them for exchange. Unfortunately my return got caught up with all of the Aust Post backlog and it took about a month to get back to them. I was excitedly waiting for my overalls to be exchanged but I was instead sent an email From Rhiannon telling me that because I hadn’t authorised for her to action the extra costs of posting the items back to me, it was just easier for her to credit me for the cost of the overalls and call it a day. Where is the customer service? Where was the notification that it was going to cost me money to have them shipped back? I would have been happy to pay if you had actually contacted me to let me know about this charge. I love good customer service and I’m pretty miffed that Dangerfield has decided that it’s not part of its ethos. Bummer because you guys used to be so rad.
Found a lovely dress on their web site
Found a lovely dress on their web site, decided to buy it and a couple of other items to boot to save on shipping. Ordered and paid only to find out the next day that my free little gift which they offered was unavailable. Ok, no big deal, waiting for my main order to arrive, but no.... they cancel the dress that was the whole reason I shopped with them because they were unable to source it. Appalling stock control and no responsibility, Will not shop with them again!
absolutely AWFUL experience ordering…
absolutely AWFUL experience ordering from NZ. I ordered two items of clothing, a week later they emailed saying they couldn't find one of these so they refunded.
A week after that they finally shipped the product, and it was shipped to an incorrect address in a different city (despite the shipping/billing address being correct on my order invoice).
They are ignoring my calls and emails, do NOT buy from these people.
Edit: Finally got through to the phone line and the person on the phone was actually very nice, will update if this gets resolved
Appalling customer service and lack of contact.
The only reason I am giving 2 stars is because 1 out of my 3 orders went smoothly and arrived as expected.
As for the other 2 orders - the first order I placed spent 2 weeks on ‘pending’ for shipment from Dangerfield, I ended up having to call them as I had no contact and they told me they’d run out of shipping labels so hadn’t sent it off, but didn’t bother to contact their customers to let them know they were having this issue, and then told me it could easily be sent from another store with stock which they should have done in the first place.
The third order I placed I waited for a shipping email, eventually got an email saying they were still sourcing the product, then a few days later received a refund email which only refunded the item and not my shipping costs.
I’m appalled at the lack of contact and customer service in this company, I had hoped to be a regular customer but now I won’t be ordering from them again as I don’t know when or if my item will ever arrive.
Takes them 5-8 days to get around to…
Takes them 5-8 days to get around to actually posting an order. Emailed them but no reply. I expect better for the price of the clothing. Disappointed. It’s been 11 days and I’m still waiting for one of my items.
Absolutely horrible. They sent me the wrong…
Absolutely horrible. They sent me the wrong product, I called them only to find out what I wanted isnt even available in my size, so now I still cant get what I want, after wasting $80. You'd think a store with such high prices wouldnt put you through the ringer like this. I get better service after spending $10 at Aliexpress.
Refused to exchange a gift
Received a top as a gift, was bought one week before I received it. Had tags and their own label on it but it did not fit me so I asked to exchange it and they have refused. I sent photos , I went into the store, no one would accept it returned to exchange. I'm not asking for a refund, just want to swap it over for something that I like. I was told my friend who bought me the top would have to send me a bank statement as proof of purchase. Wtaf. You have some lovely things but I will never return to your store, you have lost a regular client.
Used to be great but the customer service is slipping
I’ve bought so many times from Dangerfield online and mostly, it’s been seem-less. A few missing or damaged items is fairly normal. Any customer service emails took a long time to be addressed but eventually they were politely and effectively. Although, in lockdown, I had a few issues and my emails weren’t responded to at all. I had a dress with a hole in the front arrive and a scarf that was pulled and torn and neither of the emails were responded to. I called the phone number but it’s either not in use or not attended. Very odd for Dangerfield because they’ve always had a great attitude so I can only assume they are swamped and just too busy. Now that stores are open again, it wouldn’t be an issue but then all the stores were shut so it wasn’t possible to get help.
Disappointing experience
My first shopping experience went great, so I decided to continue shopping at Dangerfield. However, the latest experience was a disaster! Despite having to pay 15 euros for international delivery (which is fine), I was additionally charged 45 euros for an express delivery service I hadn't asked for! The customer support team employee was trying to explain how this is a normal procedure and shift the blame on me. If the policy had changed, why isn't this change clearly stated? Why is it that I received an email of a successful order without a single word of additional charges?
This is neither professional, nor OK.
Really disappointed with Dangerfield’s…
Really disappointed with Dangerfield’s returns policy...I have spent a lot of money online, however found sizing to be really inconsistent. No option for free returns, and so when I went to see if I could swap my items for something in-store I was told that one of my items couldn’t be exchanged at all and I couldn’t get a credit voucher for another item!?!? I love the prints that Dangerfield make but this is a deal breaker for me! Will be talking to ACCC about their returns policies....Online shoppers beware!!!!
Bought a leather jacket
I bought a leather jacket from Danger Field last year and I really like it. It's not genuine leather but the texture seems fine. I have worn it for 3 months now (exclude summer, because it's way too hot...) and it looks like it will last long.
Fantastic store
One of my favourite stores. The clothes are amazing and cute, the material is nice, and they fit GREAT. I'm a small person so it's hard finding clothes that fit me perfectly, but Dangerfield sell clothes that actually fit me. I love the designs, like the bee shirt, or the 80's checkers jacket (my fav). I've never had any issues with them, my stuff arrive nicely packed and ready for me to try on. Can be a bit pricey but it's okay, worth it. However, stuff there doesn't last very long in store, always new stuff coming in.
Amazing shop to buy from, I strongly recommend
