This was gross. The breaded nuggets are essentially rolled up deli style meat that gets super chewy once baked. You can actually see it unroll while eating, weird.

Hands down, the best chicken substitute
THE. BEST. CHICKEN. SUBSTITUTE. EVER. Accidentally ran across this at sprouts, but they didn't have original, so we ordered it. It is the absolute best. We've made sandwiches, stirfry, salads, tacos, or just plain with seasoning and sides and it's amazingly delicious. I recommend it to anyone looking for a substitute for chicken. We like the cajun and lemon pepper, but they seem limited use, whereas the plain is ready for whatever you want to put it in. Get it, season it, enjoy it and wish you had found it sooner.

Thanks for the feedback! We cannot agree more! The versatility of daring is unbelievable. Most don't believe it's plant-based when first trying it. I encourage you to try the original breaded pieces at least once and add it to your daring rotation!

Meat-eater turned vegan or vegetarian, depending on the day. Excellent product, texture is like chicken, with the “bounce” and “peelability”. I much prefer the original because I like to use my own flavoring. The flavored versions were good but not great. Would be great if the original came in a breaded version for quick and easy frying, maybe even with “southern fried” seasoning. Everyone buy some so that they can profit on volume and reduce overall cost!

All I can say is “WOW”! Every different flavor in this bundle is SO good. Timely arrival and everything stayed frozen. They even stayed in The shipping box for an extra 2 days due to a storm knocking the power out at my home so I couldn’t freeze them. They’re perfect. I’ve had them on salads, in wraps, just by themselves, you name it. I’ll definitely be ordering again!

An excellent, game-changing product!
My wife and I first purchased Daring Original Pieces through an American Express special offer and we fell in love with them! We've since ordered them directly through Daring Foods and continue to be thrilled with this product. The taste, texture and nutrition of the Original Pieces are all excellent, and they are delicious in a variety of dishes or cooked by themselves. I am a vegetarian and my wife is mostly vegetarian as well, and we are both delighted to have such a great tasting, nutritious and versatile product without participating in the cruelty of the poultry industry. The customer service/shipping have been very good as well, so I highly recommend both this product and the company.

Daring Chicken is quite simply the best tasting plant-based meat alternative on the market. It also has the cleanest ingredient profile in the aisle regardless of category. I could not be more excited to start introducing more plant-based foods into my diet and will be starting with Daring.
