Arrivavano telefonate e richieste via Comis, ma era molto complicato gestire il tutto: non c’erano corrieri ma solo il servizio postale che prendeva in carico la spedizione tanto desiderata. Anche le fiere di settore all’epoca erano piccole e sporadiche, la comunicazione e la pubblicità erano del tutto insufficienti.

disloyal, irresponsible, negligent, opportunistic and profoundly unprofessional.

I am the owner of an online collectible store in Spain with over 12 years of experience. I am not writing this as an emotional customer, but as a professional in the industry who trusted another supposed professional.

In 2022, I deposited over €400 to reserve two T-1000 statues from Terminator 2: Judgment Day. For four full years, I received not a single update, notification, forecast, or basic communication regarding production status. Four years of complete silence. During that time, I was forced to cancel my customers’ pre-orders because I could no longer justify asking them to wait indefinitely. Ultimately, they purchased the pieces elsewhere, as I had no reasonable way to continue defending such an excessive delay. The reputational damage this causes to a retailer is significant.

Throughout those four years, my customers rightfully questioned the delay. In over a decade of managing pre-orders with multiple international manufacturers, I have never experienced total silence for such an extended period.

Then, in 2026, they suddenly contacted me to say the product was ready and that I needed to pay the remaining balance — after four years without a single notification. When I raised concerns, the initial explanation was COVID. However, the reservation was made in 2022 and delivery occurred in 2026. Using the pandemic as justification for poor management four years later is, at best, unconvincing.

After several email exchanges, we reached an agreement: I could select €400 worth of items from their catalog as compensation. When I chose two statues with a combined retail value of approximately €500, I was told those items were not eligible. Instead, I was encouraged to select statues priced above €1,500 — and even required to purchase two units — in order to use the €400 that already belonged to me. In other words, they held my money for years and then attempted to push me into a significantly larger purchase to recover it.

This was not an isolated incident.

I had previously reserved statues of Sarah Connor. That order also involved more than three years of waiting. Again, there was zero proactive communication. I had to inquire myself whether the products had arrived. They claimed they had notified me. When I requested proof in the form of a screenshot of the supposed payment request email, they refused to provide it.

I ultimately paid for both reserved units. Since the regular version was sold out, they supplied the exclusive version instead. While that outcome was partially favorable, it does not compensate for the lack of organization, poor communication, and absence of transparency.

The pattern is consistent:
– Years of silence.
– No proactive communication.
– Funds retained for extended periods.
– Alleged notifications that cannot be verified.
– Weak or inconsistent explanations.
– Attempts to pressure larger purchases to recover previously paid amounts.

As an industry professional, this causes not only financial harm but also serious reputational damage with customers who place their trust in you.

In a collectibles market built entirely on trust and transparency, this way of operating is simply unacceptable.

My professional advice: exercise extreme caution before placing any pre-orders with this company.

SCAMMERS

edit 2:

Its now the 30th of November. That's 37 days since I paid for shipping by air. Its taken longer than their shipping by sea (35 days approx). And my item still hasn't arrived. This company is a SCAMMER. DO NOT ORDER ANYTHING FROM THEM.
They think they are getting away with it. They won't. They messed with the wrong person. I'm going to make sure they go out of business. I tried to be nice but they are ignoring me now. Like they think I'll just forget about it. I won't. They are done.

edit: Its the 25th of November now. Which is over a month. How does it take a month to ship an item by plane from China to Australia?!?!?!

Something fishy is going on. In the emails I've had back and forth with them the address at the bottom of the emails is

14, Archermou Str.
Cyprus 1045. Which is Isengard Fantasy Shop (see first pic).

But when I put that into Google maps it also brings up

Georgiou Karyou 6B, Nicosia 2014, Cyprus

which is Darkside Collectables actual address according to Google maps (see video clip).

They are eight minutes apart (see third pic).

I emailed them again this week asking how much longer it will take to receive my item. They told me

"I just received a reply from my colleague in China. He gathered a great amount of paid orders and he will start shipping next week.

Please accept our apologies for the delay but we are working on it."

This is a week after they told me

"We are gathering a groupage of orders and we will start shipping from China next week.

You will receive all related details."

So its been over two weeks since I paid for the shipping (23rd of October). I chose to ship by air (the faster option), which according to them is

"15 days approx..".

So its been 17 days since I paid for the shipping. What is going on? How long is it going to take for me to receive my item?

I'm going to be out of town for five days (November 24-28) and I'm worried it'll be delivered when I'm not home. And it'll be returned to sender because the post office gives five days to collect deliveries.

I've had no worse experience collecting than I've had with Darkside Collectables Studio. Over a year ago, I preordered a figure. Despite repeated assurances, the figure never arrived. One promised deadline after another passed. Now, over a year later, the product is ready to ship (I've heard this repeatedly), but Darkside wants to charge an exorbitant amount, never mentioned before, for postage. For raising these issues, I have been blocked by Darkside’s social media channels and my comments deleted. It's clear that they want to hid from their mistakes. Despite their missed deadlines and poor communication, Darkside will not cancel my pre-order and return my deposit. I highly recommend you avoid Darkside as you build your Star Trek collection. You might never get what you paid for, or be asked to pay more after the fact.

Dear Customer, please note that our Customer Service replies all emails within 24 hours except weekends. The item was a PRE ORDER with estimated time of delivery. Also as we CLEARLY describe thoughout the entire process the shipping cost is an estimation as at the time you are placing your order with us we are not in a position to know exactly the box dimensions or even other factors (like changes in customs in USA) that are beyond of our control. If you are located in USA & Australia then please note that our logistics team decided to ship directly from our factory in China and have everything paid including taxes. Of course you may choose to ship from our main warehouses in Europe for $12 less but with no taxes included. Our company is a customer oriented company and we always try to find the best solution for all our customers. The NRD rule is a basic rule for ALL HIGH END Collectibles manufacturers so if you are a dedicated statue collector I am sure that you are aware of this. Not reliable

Virtually identical experience to at least one other person here: I ordered an item about 18 months ago ago, paying in full at the time, and heard nothing from them since. When I got in touch, they told me the suppliers had only given them one batch and told them they couldn't fulfil their full orders. Now they point out in their reply that they have no control over that which is fair enough. However, they made no attempt to contact me and give me this information when they got their allocation, so denying me the chance of picking up this item from another retailer. Now the item is only available on the secondary market for at least twice the price. They did refund me within a week of contacting them, hence the second star, but I'm not at all sure they would have had I not got in contact with them. I'm sure they do fulfill orders for some people with no problem but clearly they are prone to taking orders before they've confirmed their allocation and clearly they are not good at keeping their customers informed. I won't ever use them again.

Underworld Bust


I first bought this bust from another big retailer here. He suddenly told me that my package had disappeared. In my desperation I wrote to Darksidetoy. He rescued me and sold me the Underworld bust and I had it 5 days later. I am so happy to have found Darksidetoy here.

Customer claimed that we shipped from our Greece warehouses an official hot toys box with italian water bottles inside instead of the figure. Some people have a strange way of thinking Not even paypal believed him. This story is Science fiction. Strange what people are willing do to keep item and get the money back.

The statues arrived only a week after completing the payments and without damage.

I must also add that the employees are very friendly and when I had questions or difficulties making payments, they always answered me cordially, helping me.

I’ m very happy and I will buy from them again. I can only recommend this company

Total and utter let down disappointed…

Total and utter let down disappointed and disgusted. I waited over 18 months for a pre order for a Star Ace figure priced @£220.00. After enquiring 3-4 times (2of which were ignored with claims of never receiving them or that their site was down for the weekend ) I noticed other firms had received the figure and sipped to their customers and sold out of stock (everywhere sold out now!) I enquired again and was told that the figure was delayed till February 2023. Not entirely believing this I waited a couple of weeks and enquired again, I got a reply saying they were looking into it and would be in touch soon. Four days later I got a notification saying that the figures had arrived and they had not been sent enough so I was given a refund as it was first come first served. This now leaves me with a figure that I can no longer order Tom anywhere due to them selling out at least 12 months ago. I doubt I would have got my refund if I had not been persistent so all be ware and order from these cowboys at your peril.
They claim to have been in business for 23 years but good knows how when they sell things they can’t supply!!!

Please accept our apologies but honestly if the manufacturer decides to downsize the orders in order to serve more shops or for any other reason that is totally out of our control there is nothing that we can do about it. Full refund was given per terms and conditions not per any persistance. You can always check our 100% positive feedback on Ebay dating back to 2002 supplying collectibles for more than 20 years. Thank you and please accept our sincere apologies but we dont have control over other manufacturers.
