I bought two BLACKVUE DR650S-2
I bought two BLACKVUE DR650S-2 , I installed one with Power Magic Pro, it turns off the camera if you don't turn the car on in a couple of days to save your battery. It's a good thing because the 2nd one is installed in my Jeep Wrangler, connected via the cigarette lighter plug, it has killed my battery twice! I definitely recommend getting the Power Magic Pro, and the highest gigabyte SD card possible. For my Toyota I had to purchase the polarizing lens cover to block out the reflection of both rear and front windows, they work great!

From what you are describing about the first camera with the Power Magic Pro, and how the camera turns off when you don't turn the car on in a couple of days, it seems as if the camera is operating as it is designed, and advertised. The Power Magic Pro's sole function is to measure your car's battery level and cut off power to the dash cam when the battery level drops below a certain point so that the vehicle battery does not die. This is exactly what your dash cam and power magic pro is doing. When you do not turn on your car in a couple of days, but are running the camera in parking mode, it is using your car's battery. When your dash cam is dying, it is because your power magic pro is cutting power off to it. That is why your car's battery with the first camera has not died. It is not possible to run the camera indefinitely without an indefinite power source, which cars do not have.
The second camera installed in your Jeep Wrangler has killed your battery twice because you are running it in parking mode connected to your cigarette lighter plug. The camera does not have built in battery discharge prevention, as that is the purpose of the power magic pro accessory. If your cigarette plug is constant power, even when the car is off, and you are using the camera in parking mode, the camera will drain the car's battery until it fully dies. That is why we recommend using the power magic pro and hardwiring the camera for parking mode. Again, your camera is performing the way it should be, and to the way you have installed it.
We also highly recommend to all customers who are using the camera for parking mode to get at least the 64GB or 128GB memory card for the exact reasons you mentioned.

Blackvue 128g SD card
Great product, fast shipping and the Blackvue SD card is still working! Unlike the one that came with my device.
Update. It's been HOT here and sometimes I forget to take the dash came off the windshield. Plus I have it wired to record in parking mode. SD card has not failed once and is still going strong! Very impressed.
