I’ve been with DEA for a while, and it has been the right choice for me. Data Engineering requires many skills — SQL, Python, AWS, Snowflake, Spark, dbt, and more — and DEA’s materials make these... See more

This course is way overpriced 30k is ridiculous for courses that can be learned for free on many platforms.
I had a great experience with the team’s job application support. Their guidance was thoughtful, responsive, and helped strengthen my applications.
I’m grateful for the support so far and look forward to building strong interview momentum in the coming weeks. Overall, a very positive experience!
My experience with Data Engineering Academy has been excellent so far. Working with @Manya Nagi has been an exceptional experience. Data Engineering Academy - Their leadership style is grounded in support, clarity, and a genuine commitment to helping the team succeed.
My experience with Data Engineer Academy has been incredibly positive and motivating. From the beginning, the entire team has been very supportive and genuinely invested in my growth and success.
I especially want to highlight the support from Kajal, Hiral, Saikumar, Mike, Milada, and Ninad. Each of them has played an important role at different stages — from onboarding and resume refinement to technical guidance and overall career support. The level of coordination and responsiveness across the team truly stands out.
What I appreciate most is how structured and personalized the process is. The team takes the time to align your profile with current market expectations, provide clear feedback, and ensure you are fully prepared before starting job applications. It never feels like a generic process — it feels thoughtful and tailored to your goals.
The resume support and job application strategy, in particular, have given me a lot of confidence. Instead of focusing only on volume, they emphasize quality, role fit, and long-term success, which makes a big difference.
Overall, I’m very grateful for the guidance, encouragement, and professionalism I’ve experienced so far. I feel much more confident moving into the interview phase and am excited about the opportunities ahead.
The course is well-structured and provides detailed insights into the technical requirements and projects essential for a Data Engineer. Manya and Kajal have been extremely helpful in streamlining access to resources, saving me time and allowing me to focus on learning without having to search extensively for the information I need.
I worked with Ryan Opera for 3 months and he was very helpful with getting used to writing the syntax for SQL. I went through all the steps, from intermediate to advanced and ready fir the full SQL mock interviews. Ryan was very helpful and had all the patience based on my work schedule and life balance. Thank you.
Kajal M. Parmar and Menaz have gone above and beyond anything I could have asked for. I was out of commission last week and extremely ill. With all of that going on, they still made sure that I had assessments and interviews to complete when I was well enough. Thank you
Whether you are a seasoned Data Engineer looking to level up or someone transitioning into the field, Data Engineering Academy (DEA) is the place to be.
As a Data Engineer who had hit a plateau in my career, DEA gave me exactly what I needed to move forward. From the start, they created a personalized learning plan tailored to my goals, pointing me toward the most relevant courses to expand my knowledge. Beyond the coursework, they provided hands-on, end-to-end projects that gave me real, practical experience, and connected me with the right resources to keep growing.
The team is genuinely helpful, supportive, and consistently available to keep you on track. Live classes are engaging and well-structured, and all recordings and training materials are accessible 24/7, making it easy to learn at your own pace.
One minor consideration worth mentioning: working with an offshore team can present some time zone challenges. That said, the team went out of their way to accommodate my schedule. A small but meaningful gesture that speaks to their commitment to their students.
This is clearly a large, well organized program, not a one man show, and that shows in the quality and consistency of the support provided. I’m currently in the job application process and feeling confident about the opportunities ahead.
If you’re ready to make a real change in your career and can make the investment, I wholeheartedly recommend Data Engineering Academy.
I chose Data Engineering Academy because the curriculum actually matched the job descriptions I was reading. It’s practical, not just theory. The standout feature has been the support. Each concept is relevant, which made all the difference in overcoming the initial learning curve. A genuinely excellent experience."
If you are looking to break into the world of data engineering, look no further than this academy. The curriculum is rigorous, hands-on, and perfectly aligned with what the industry demands right now. However, what truly sets this program apart is the exceptional mentorship, specifically from Manya.
I began this new journey with Data Engineer Academy in early Feb 2026 with technical BS degree and 15+ years of Pharma tech software knowledge in my back pocket. My mentor Afnan was very positive and supportive. On a humorous note, I was willing to learn some new tricks....and was willing to invest time and be teachable. The numerous tasks have a timeline for a reason. Afnan was again helpful and supportive as doing anything new, comes with a learning curve.
The 1:1 meetings were frequent and very good communication as we both understood that life does not stop spinning while i was learning new things.
I look forward to the future and what it brings!
I’ve had a positive experience with Data Engineering Academy. Their coursework is well structured, with a clear layout and step-by-step plan that explains what a data engineer needs to be successful and land new opportunities. My onboarding advisor, Afnan, has been very supportive and always available to check in on my progress, follow up, and provide guidance.Because of my work commitments, I haven’t been able to give the program as much time and focus as I would have liked. Even so, the structured plan and interview preparation give me confidence that this program can help me get a job. I really appreciate the support and consistent follow-up, and I hope to dedicate more time to the program in the future.
Coaching was great. Coaching for job preparation is great. The guide/Coach is available, when I require.
I was contacted via LinkedIn by Sandra Perez. I informed her that I would agree to more information about their service however, I have no interest in paying for any service. She agreed and a meeting was set up. I met with Alejandro Sanchez. After speaking for a while, I informed him, as I informed Sandra, that I had no interest in paying for a service. After I informed him of this, he said “ok dude” and hung up on me.
This is the level of their professionalism.
Their service is $20,000.00, by the way.
A few months into the program, I have found it to be exceptionally well designed and highly effective. The combination of one-on-one coaching, a rigorous curriculum, and a well-supported learning management platform creates a structured and supportive learning environment. In addition, working closely with my coach to establish milestones and track progress based on my schedule has made the experience both flexible and highly personalized.
The team behind the program is outstanding and deeply committed to participant success. Most days also include additional volunteer-led group working sessions where participants can ask questions and receive further coaching. While the work requires discipline and focus, the return on that investment becomes evident quickly as new skills and capabilities develop. Overall, it is a high-quality experience that meaningfully accelerates professional growth, and I expect it will deliver a strong return on investment upon completion of the program.
My experience with Data Engineer Academy was significantly different from what was initially presented. While the initial screening seemed professional, the process became problematic once I was scheduled for a call with Kevin Hu.
Before our meeting, I received approximately 40 emails in a very short window, which felt excessive and disorganized. During the call, Kevin Hu used what I perceived as hostile and aggressive sales tactics. Rather than focusing on career development, the conversation centered on highlighting personal failures to create a sense of urgency for their $15,000 USD program.
I felt misled by the initial premise; I was under the impression an actual job was on offer, but it turned out to be a high-ticket sales pitch for a program with no guaranteed outcomes. Following the call, I was even contacted by Kevin’s manager in a manner that felt like further pressure.
I strongly advise potential clients to be cautious. The $15,000 cost is a significant investment, and in my opinion, the aggressive sales approach and misleading initial claims do not align with a professional career service.
Great support from managers and good coverage for core data engineering principles.
Will highly recommend.
I’ve been with Data Engineering Academy since February last year, after starting to feel uncertain about my role at a company I’d been with for almost 14 years. Although I couldn’t actively use the program for about nine months due to my busy work schedule, once we started applying for jobs, the team’s support and structured approach truly stood out.
The Academy offers a well-organized, career-focused program that helped me regain interview confidence after years away from active interviewing. What I appreciate most is their open-door policy—I’ve been able to reach out directly to Chris (CEO) and Ninad (CTO) whenever needed, which speaks volumes about their accessibility and commitment. They even connected me with the right mentors and experts based on my immediate skill needs — for example, Ninad suggested I work with Pushkar, who helped me strengthen my program management presentation skills.
A special thanks to Mohit and Azmat for always making time for me, as well as Cristi (CSM) and the job application team (Ruby, Pooja, Piyush, Shridhar, and others) who’ve been incredibly supportive throughout my journey. I know there are many more working behind the scenes to help, and I’m truly grateful for everyone’s dedication and encouragement.
If you’re looking to grow your career or make a transition into data engineering, I highly recommend Data Engineering Academy—they combine technical excellence, genuine mentorship, and a people-first approach that’s truly rare to find.
There can be a lot to learn but team breaks it down into bit size pieces!
After being let go from my role in October, I expected I would quickly land in my next position. With more than 20 years in technology, I figured the next adventure would begin quickly...
What I quickly discovered, though, was just how much the landscape has changed. The expectations around data platforms, tools, and modern engineering practices (not to mention modern hiring practices) have moved forward quite a bit, and it has become clear that I need to sharpen and modernize parts of my skill set.
That realization is what led me to Data Engineering Academy.
What I appreciated about the program is that it didn’t treat experienced professionals like beginners. Instead, it helped connect the experience I already had in systems, data, and architecture to the modern data engineering stack while also pushing me to let go of some older technologies and patterns that the industry has moved beyond.
