Failed security at DATCU; Hackers with last name of Pickle(? ) stole $7000 from our savings with 33 withdrawals in 9 days through Zelle, which we do not use. DATCU says our personal info was used, but we never gave our passwords to anyone. DATCU sent copies of emails they say they sent us, but we NEVER RECEIVED emails from them. Possibly a glitch, enabling the thieves to divert emails? Plus emails are not the most reliable way to communicate such important info. DATCU also sent copies of texts that they sent us, but the texts did not state that withdrawals were happening; rather the texts said to not share our passwords. Since we do not do that, the texts did not raise suspicions on our part. Because of the 33 withdrawals over 9 days, all but emptying that savings account by someone with the name of Pickle, we feel Security should have made a phone call to us. Several friends who work in admin positions in banks have said we should have received a phone call! No concern was shown to us through the fraud dept, and they don't allow the customers to make an appt to speak with anyone. They say this was " investigated ", and we are told that our $7000 will not be replaced.
