Predatrory practicies

They linked my bank account and debit card number to the app, but never approved the loan. They charged me a fee after I unsubscribed and deleted my account.

Fraudsters

This company is well past fixable and way past horrible. How do you close someone's account and say due to suspicious activity and constantly telling u to look out for an email from them well it's been over a year and I'm still waiting for this so called email. On top of that they continue to pull money out $3 out of my account yeah it's only dollars but it's my $3 dollars and I don't appreciate them snatching money from me. Not to mention it's hard as hell to get ahold of them, I also find it funny that I've scrolled.the reviews and have yet to see a response from them on the of the reviews that have been posted I find it real.odd.

Not a bad cash advance app

Not a bad cash advance app, I get the payback percent from money advanced but hey it's a good app when your other banks don't have this feature of cash advancing, Dave is a good option. I like the Dave app where I can borrow an advance when I need it to then pay it back later on time.

Dave is a great help!!

RUN RUN FAST AND FAR

I was just doing a survey for a $1.97 I had gotten to where it said I was 95% done with it and at the last second it kicked me out and said that I wasn't the person that they were looking for. I think that's total BS that it would let me get 95% of the way finished and then kick me out. I feel like it basically just stole all the data I gave it and kicked me out. I've been kicked out halfway through some of them a quarter way through others and I get i may not be right for every one. But to do it when I'm 95% percent of the way done is just totally unacceptable. It takes away any trust I got in this site whatsoever. Customer services useless at making it right I would not give this company the time of day run run fast and far

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE

As with all the other reviews (which I should have read before signing up for the "service") I couldn't even give Dave one star but I had to because there is no zero Star. I started up an account I was approved for $150, which was transferred to my bank on a Thursday, but I could not access the funds due to my bank always taking a couple business days for it to clear. They then took the money back out on that Sunday, so I never had a chance to access the money and I never used any of it. But they charged me $5 saying that I did use it, and then another $7.50 overdraft charge when they took the money back out - again knowing that I never used any of it. I tried to get help from the Chat - and they couldn't do anything and then I called customer service who were equally unable to do anything saying that there is a minmum of 3 business days from Dave depositing the money and then them being able to repaid and we counted ONLY two! They accused me of not reading the terms, but even the chat agent said that the repayment date they initially gave me needed to be changed. And now they won't even close my account until I pay them the $12.50. This is total BS! This is a SCAM! PLEASE DO NOT EVER SIGN UP FOR THIS SERVICE! They will not do right by you.

This review is on Dave.com, not worth doin business with!

This review is on Dave.com, it is a banking company located in Los Angeles, CA. I closed the account more than a month ago and they sent me an email that my 503.83 refund of my funds had been processed.
That was on 10/15, more than a month ago. Customer service and I have exchanged more than 23 messages and they show no indication of sending me my money.

Dave Is Breaking Federal Law by Refusing ACH Revocation

Dave, Inc. is violating the Electronic Fund Transfer Act (15 U.S.C. §1693e) and Regulation E (12 CFR Part 1005) by refusing to honor my written revocation of ACH authorization. I lost my job and informed Dave in writing that any future debits were revoked, as I am legally allowed to do under federal law.

Instead of complying, their team responded with false claims that my “ExtraCash” transfer is a single, non-revocable transaction. This is completely untrue and illegal. No contract overrides federal consumer protection law. Dave’s refusal to comply has caused unnecessary stress and the risk of overdrafts.

Other companies like Brigit and Albert immediately honored my ACH revocation without issue. Dave’s deliberate disregard for the law and their customers’ financial situations is unacceptable. I have filed complaints with the CFPB and BBB, and I am pursuing further action through the DFPI.

Consumers deserve to know this company does not respect federal law or fair treatment. Avoid Dave at all costs.

Fraud

Received a card I didn't order. Called to report as fraud and they wouldn't do it without me providing sensitive information crucial for committing ...fraud. Why would I, after reporting identity theft, give a strange company all the things that thieves use when stealing people's identities? When I asked if they would give that information to a stranger who sent them a random card, they said they didn't know. What??? A better system needs to be put in place to submit these requests without having people compromise their identity. This company is shady and needs to be investigated immediately.

Not a trustworthy customer friendly platform

I’ve been using Dave on and off for about six months. I’ve always paid them within their two week window. This last time I needed about five extra days because of a car repair. They said no they do not give any type of extension and she also said Not to worry. They will only take the money from my account if it is available. They did not do that. They went to my checking account knew that I was overdrawn with their pending withdrawal and I was hit with a $35 NSF fee from my bank. I’ve been also looking and I’m getting strange fees that I don’t know what they are. So no, I do not trust this company. They behave like loan sharks. Hope this is constructive enough.

Company has refused to close my account. For the past two weeks, they have asked me a government ID or a selfie to close my account. They know exactly who I am and keep corresponding through my email. I believe they are trying to get my information to sell! They will close my account! They need a class action lawsuit! This company are crooked and need a legal attitude adjustment! Stay away from Dave.com! This company is bad news!

The advancement date was set one day ahead of my actual deposit. I ended up paying a bank overdraft fee of 60 USD for that.

The app representative refused to change the date of the settlement for just one day later. I canceled my membership.

Absolutely abysmal lender

Absolutely abysmal lender, consumers are subject to unreasonable settlement dates, and they're not able to adjust to aforementioned settlement dates to align with their paycheck(s), or monthly benefit. Additionally, their customer service seems to be directly opposed to formulating a coherent reply beyond the canned responses they're allotted, and they're not willing to help the consumer with the issue I've described above. Do yourself a favor, don't utilize their services.

It's not worth it

First off it took the app a week to process money you already took. Then you only gave $25 . Any other qpp gives wat more. It shouldn't matter what other advanceapp I use as long as you get your money. I'm telling people not to use your app because it's not worth the download

On April 6th I merchant attempted to charge my card for $100. Unfortunately the car did not work initially which resulted in a debit fallback. I contacted Dave to figure out why the amount was taken out of my account and they stated because of a pre-authorization process. It seems that they will hold on to your money for additional 30 days even if the merchant made a mistake which is absolutely thievery because what happens is they take your money and then lend it out to other participants of their car services as a loan but you don't receive any additional funds even though they're taking your money to loan it out to other people. I've had the merchant to also send Dave a copy of the receipt only for Dave to tell me that they are still going to wait the full 30 days before they return my $100. Additionally Dave decided to take the $104 out of my account versus the $100 so they also stole an additional $4.95 for me despite this merchant error that I was held on the chopping block for. This is not a financial institution this is a technology loan company that loans your money as you put it on your card to other persons for their own personal surplus reasons you as the person putting in your money or not considered a value customer unless you are lending money to others which you do not receive any interest on even though it's your money being lended out to other people.

This is not a design company but a financial services company. They are total thieves. They allowed a thief to setup an account with my email address, even though I have a ID theft notice and credit freeze at all the major credit bureaus. I have been in back and forth emails to get this fake account shut down and they have no care to do so. Stay away from this company and other financial services companies like this. They don't have to follow any regulations that real banks have to.
