Dave's Pet Food: A Hidden Gem
My cat has food allergies and the process of doing elimination diets with hydrolized foods, experimenting with different brands and ingredients, etc., has made her the pickiest of eaters. In comes Dave, the hero of this story. I'm fortunate enough to live near a small, locally owned pet supply store that has a great variety of variety of brands. I was looking for something affordable, grain free, with quality ingredients, and a variety of flavors and textures. Dave's Pet Food checked every one of those boxes. However, as you can see, I only gave them 4 stars, and I'd like to explain why that is. From what I can see, they don't offer much in the way of novel proteins (rabbit, duck, etc.), so they may not work for all pets with allergies. Fortunately, my cat can handle fish, and they do have a great variety for that! The other reason that I only gave them 4 stars is one that you can help with: they're a tiny brand that not many have heard of, and that means that they can be hard to find, even online.
