The David Andrew team in Archway are absolute legends! Greg was my main contact for the sale of my flat and he was always responsive and proactive during both the viewings and the sale process. Bethan stepped in a few times and he did so with grace and kindness. The whole team provided a holding experience, characterised by professionalism and empathy and I can't recommend them enough - especially with all the non-personal and ambivalent services offered by the more commercial estate agents in London. Thank you Greg and Bethan specifically!

When we moved from the UK to the US, we decided to work with David Andrews to rent our property and manage the tenants. We continued using them when we decided to sell the property.

I recently had the pleasure of working with David Andrew (Archway office) on a flat sale in Holloway, and I can't recommend them highly enough. Greg, in particular, was absolutely top-notch throughout the entire process.

From the outset, Greg was personable, easy to communicate with, and showed a level of tenacity that truly set him apart. He stuck with me through some tricky issues that arose during the sale, always keeping me informed and ensuring that everything stayed on track with our buyers. Greg and his team were reliable, trustworthy, and consistently went above and beyond to achieve the best possible outcome. As you can see the score is quite low. And for a reason.

First, communication: there's another review down here that says they act in a snobby and passive aggressive way. I support that 100%. They talk to you as if they're doing you a favour. Had the same experience with multiple property managers and other people who work there.

Second, they do not care: Good luck if you ever need any maintenance or repair to be done. They'll take ages to reply and keep you in the void for a long time. A practical example was when the shower broke, and they simply ignored if for 2 weeks, after multiple calls.

Third, they'll rip you off: they'll find the most unreasonable excuses make deductions of your deposit. If you ask them for proof, they'll start lying giving vage answers.

They have a low score for a reason. I really wish I'd checked their reviews sooner, because what you see here is a reflect of what's goint to happen to you if you rent with them.

I had a good experience with David Andrew Property Management, thanks to Anusha, my property manager. She was incredibly supportive throughout my tenancy, always responsive, and ensured that any issues were promptly addressed, especially in helping me receive my full deposit back quickly after I moved out.

We rented a property through David Andrew for a year, and the experience was excellent. David Andrew was very proactive in assisting us during the move-out process and helped us reduce the amount deducted from our deposit. Overall, we were very satisfied with the service and would highly recommend it.

We rented with David Andrew for 4 years and being very good tenants. (Rent always paid in advance and never damaged anything).

The agency is extremely disorganised and unreliable when it comes to any repairs or following up to the smallest requests.

They treat their tenants with a snobby and passive aggressive attitude trying to downgrade you so when you get fed up about their negligence they will call you rude.

All properties managers we came across those years were one more inconsiderate and incompetent than the other.

From Kevin to Jess Innes the whole experience was a disaster.
They will lie to you and they will not get any job done from amending a contract to carry on a repair that they have agreed to.

At beginning of the tenancy they left us for 6 weeks without a clean finished built in wardrobe, a leaking tap for 6 months, a broken light switcher for 3 months. Not to mention the mould growing inside skirting boards and walls due to the poor finish of the property.

The check out process was painful. The unprofessionalism and zero duty or care towards us tenants has been beyond any bad expectations.
Internally they have zero handover and we had to spend 2 months going back and forth showing them all proofs of previous emails with several property managers because they will not even update their files and once again they will lie or ignore your emails and calls.

In the end they will also backing up the landlord unreasonable and undocumented requests and to take your deposit just because they don't care and they have zero ethics.

Don't rent with them if you want to avoid headache, arguments and loss of money.

Stay away! I wish I could give zero!

David Andrews estate agents, Highbury, did a great job in finding me the perfect flat in an excellent location. John was helpful and efficient and his experience and local knowledge have further helped to make a smooth move.

I rented a property for a year and everything was wrong from the first day.
The heating system was broken in January in London.
Also, I had a massive leak problem in my bedroom, I emailed and called them for a year and literally, I leave the apartment and the problem is not solve.
Our property manager, JESS INNES has been ignoring me ang the few times she answer my calls or emails, she was extremely rude and useless.
I would never recommend them to anyone even to my worst enemy.

If I could rate 0 stars, I would.

DO NOT RENT FROM THEM!

It's like they could not care any less about their clients. I rented a property from them for 2 years and there was a massive roof leak in the bathroom. I emailed them about it EVERY WEEK for TWO YEARS and it never got fixed. There was always an excuse or not reply at all. Last year my water cut off 3 times and they didn't even care to do anything at all to help while I sat there for days with no water. Every single staff member I talk to is so flakey and nobody gets anything done or even cares to try. This company is a joke. Literally my biggest regret is renting from them.

In short Greg Adams at David Andrew was exemplary when facilitating my purchase in N7 this summer. To add a little context: I had a tough time moving and buying my flat overall. My estate agent on my sale was so bad he was a constant non cooperative obstacle we had to work around (seriously avoid Felicity J Lord in Islington). We were all racing the stamp duty holiday window which was about to close and the property I purchased had a number of complex legal problems involving the neighbours and various trustees. The ONLY reason the sale got through and in time was Greg going the extra mile every single time and keeping the wheels greased no matter what. It was a property with problems and Greg was transparent and upfront from the very start and always with a dry humour and a reassuring can do energy. A long winded potential previous sale had fallen through and yet Greg never seemed for a moment like he was trying to rush to get this flat off his books, I hope the seller knows how hard Greg worked to see the property find its new owner and see everyone happy. He took the initiative every time and mediated between the buyer and me perfectly. He also stepped in to help with communication between solicitors a number of times, same with surveyors/builders and always worked to be available anytime of the day and week to meet at the property or make a call on my behalf. He comes from a business background in the city and seemed to have a relaxed and good humoured, honest even perspective on property sales without the usual flash sales schtikk. He was proactive, unfailingly professional and easy to cut to the chase with. Its rare these days that you find such a personal and personable service and I am pleased to be able to write such a glowing review. It goes without saying I will use Greg at David Andrew in Holloway for my property sale when it’s next time to move on.

Incompetent service from start to finish. When we viewed the property, the estate agent was unable to provide answers to basic questions. We put down a holding deposit expecting this would reserve the property, waited 5 days and had to chase each day for any kind of answer on whether the landlord had agreed the offer. The agent hiked up the advertised price by £110 pcm over email (apparently an error on their system) - saying, 'Unfortunately, this was just how it is' with no apology. I'd avoid this estate agents at all costs. Thoroughly disappointed in the service, and incredibly unethical.

Our family had a horrendous experience with this agency. My brother signed an agreement with them and paid three months rent upfront. He was ready to move. The landlords made unreasonable requests for checks, including my banks statements (I was not the tenant, nor guarantor). We complied the best we could as the moving date was so close, although it was very offensive given that my brother is a great tenant and never got as much as a parking ticket. Their demands seemed more and more suspicious, then on the day of the move, they withdrew the agreement.
We’re left in shock!
The only explanation we have is that the landlords needed to make sure they never got in a situation when they would have to involve the authorities (such as a tenant fails to pay rent), as that would also mean they could be checked and they need to avoid that. We suspect they run a dodgy business.

The agency did not take any measures to protect my brother as a tenant and customer.

Avoid this agency if you don’t want to risk a scam!

POOR SERVICE: This is one of the most incompetent estate agents I have ever come across. I put in an offer on a property - first they said I couldn't see it at all - then I heard nothing from them for 2 weeks, so presumed it had been sold to someone else. Then they came back to me saying I had won the sealed bid. They asked for an extraordinary level of ID then said I couldn't see the property again until I had 'reached the next stage' of proving who I was. At no time did they seem to have a grip on the deal or what legal money laundering requirements were actually needed. Other estate agents have asked for much less proof. Now they have just told me that the property has been withdrawn. There is nothing I can do about that, but I have found their general level of service to be vague and quite frankly, baffling. Also, one agent that I spoke to was fantastically rude. I would consider any other agent in the Highbury area if you are thinking of buying or selling.
