David Gartry Eye Surgery Reviews 

I opted for multifocal lens implants following consultation with Professor Gartry. Everyone in the team was attentive, reassuring and so professional from initial enquiry through to completion of the surgery and aftercare. The outcome has been life-changing for me with better vision than I have ever had from 40 years of wearing contact lenses! Great vision for both distance and reading ..... truly liberating! I would not hesitate to recommend Professor Gartry and his team.

I've been short sighted all my adult life but in my late 40s I also needed different glasses for reading. Swapping glasses all the time was depressing and annoying when I forgot and accidently left the house in reading glasses to be met with a blurry world. I had LASIK surgery with Professor David Gartry at Moorfields Hospital. He and his team were great - professional, gave comprehensive information and answered all questions and offered full and reassuring follow-up appointments. I had 'monovision' correction which meant that one eye is better for distance, the other a slightly reduced prescription for reading. Sounds odd, but it works! I'm now walking around without glasses for the first time since I was 12 and I no longer have to hold my phone at arms length and squint at it in order to read a text. Not having to wear glasses or contact lenses is a joy.
My decision started with an open evening at Moorfields Private Eye Hospital - also recommended at it was very informative.

I required a right eye procedure, as had a nuclear sclerotic cataract forming. From start to finish, Professor Gartry and his team at The Wimpole Street Eye Clinic/Moorfields Eye Hospital were outstanding. The treatment and care I received was exemplary. The outcome was even better than first predicted and to say I’m ecstatic with the results is an understatement.
Expensive? Yes. But if you wish to be in the VERY BEST hands, then it is absolutely worth every penny.
