Day's Bakery was founded in 1741 in Ashwell and is likely one of the oldest remaining bakeries in the country. It has been run by family members throughout its long existence and prides itself on quality, remaining very much a village bakery.

I drove 4 miles from my work to get a…

I drove 4 miles from my work to get a sandwich and a cake from the local Bakery, as their food is usually good albeit a little pricey. I ordered a ham and English mustard sarnie and when I got back to my place of work I set down to eat the food only to realise that the sandwich was inedible due to what must have been 4 tea spoons of English mustard in it. Had to drive 4 miles back to get a refund. Will not use this Shop again due to the young staff not be trained to make sandwiches for their customers. The service was polite but customer satisfaction I believe is key. Especially when your paying high prices for the food.
