Useless and unprofessional company, who should get the new management ASAP

It seems I am not alone who "enjoyed" dealing with Ingram Micro Services GmbH, though it should be the question to Bose, who sent me there when one of my ear buds stopped charging. They quoted repair of one bud at 250 EUR, which is the price of the new set, and asked me what I want to do. I replied asking for the price justification and terms of their warranty. Reasonable question when you have an option of buying a new set instead of repair of one defective bud. I got no reply and then they send me another question about what I wanna do with the order. I asked the same price/warranty questions and this time attached the screenshots of my replies to them. No reply from their side again and they just returned the buds unrepaired. No comments. Very unprofessional and useless company. I guess their 1.4 score on Trustpilot is no accident and the ones, who gave them 5 stars are just a lucky lottery winners.

Absurd Repair Costs & Poor Service: They charge more than a brand new product.

I strongly advise against using Ingram Micro (Bose’s official repair partner in Germany) for out-of-warranty repairs. I sent in my Bose QuietComfort 45 headphones because the power/Bluetooth switch became loose. The headphones were otherwise fully functional, and a replacement button typically costs around 5-10 EUR. Based on good past experiences with Bose, I expected a reasonable repair process.

However, the quotation I received was shocking. Ingram Micro is asking for 325 EUR to resolve this issue. They admitted over the phone that they do not actually repair the specific fault; they simply send a replacement unit.

The Repair Quote: They want 325 EUR.
Original Price: I bought these headphones for 285 EUR in 2022.
Market Price: You can currently buy a brand new pair on Amazon for around 205 EUR.
Newest Model: For just 90 EUR more than their repair quote, you could buy the brand new Bose Ultra 2 model!

Asking a customer to pay 325 EUR for a replacement that costs 205 EUR on the open market is unacceptable. The process was a complete waste of time, and I now have to pay 35 EUR for the quotation and shipping just to get my headphones back unrepaired.

To make matters worse, communication is very difficult. They do not reply to emails, and if you call, support is only available in German. If your Bose product is out of warranty, save your money and go to a local repair shop instead.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS

AVOID AT ALL COSTS. A truly diabolical organisation, and sadly every other negative review is bang on. I just wish I'd read it before sending my phone to be traded in. I understand that they are official trade-in "partners" for several UK phone companies (Lord knows how) but already, some of them have had the intelligence to stop dealing with them. Shysters, con artists, an awful outfit. Seeing as I had various other things going on, I just accepted the trade-in quote without thinking too much. It was significantly less than other places, but figured it would be hassle-free. Incorrect. My phone had two or three chips on the casing that were only visible under very close inspection, no cracks, perfect screen etc (always in a case) Trade-in then came back at half their original quote saying the "frame was cracked". Ignored repeated requests to return my phone. Ended up lodging a formal complaint through my phone company, and phone eventually turned up. Having read all the other reviews and their sharp practices, half expected either another phone to turn up or my phone but in significantly worse condition. At least my (pristine) phone turned up again, which I am now selling privately at over three times what the trade-in quote was. Avoid this company and steer as clear as possible away from them.

Terrible

Sent my Bose headphones for service since the sound quality in one ear got bad within the warranty period. No update recorded on the portal since 6 weeks.
Bose told me the maximum timeline was 6 weeks, now have changed it to 8 weeks. Absolute joke, no communication from Ingram and unacceptably long lead times. If they know they have this much work to do then scale up appropriately. I expected a "high end" company like Bose to partner with a better service company.

Terrible service!

I entrusted my headphones (Order No. 80424073) to Ingramm’s customer service, following Bose's instructions, on September 6th due to an issue with the noise cancelling, as the product is under warranty and should be replaced. After shipping them via UPS, as instructed via email, I haven’t received any updates.

When checking their portal, I found that the headphones have been under inspection since September 11th, with no visible progress. I sent several emails to customer service over the past weeks and finally received a reply today, after about six weeks, telling me to contact Bose for further updates.

However, Bose informed me that the entire process is handled by Ingramm, and they only act as an intermediary. In summary, after a long wait, I still have no news about my headphones, nor do I know if or when I will get them back.

This is truly unacceptable service from both parties, with a lack of clarity and support from both Bose and Ingramm. I am extremely disappointed by this experience.

Terrible service

Terrible service. My phone was sent to this company after anoter company screwed up the repair. this was an insurance affair,so no receipt should be needed...they held on to their claim for a proof of purchase, and did not even communicate this to me in the first place..they got their PoP,and almost two weeks later,i am still waiting for my phone..they have had it for 5 weeks...they are almost impossible to get a hold of too..
