I received a call from one of the…

I received a call from one of the members, who told me they have access to many businesses off the market that are ready for sale. They booked me for a call with someone called Santino Santoro. It was too good to be true; when I had a call with Santino Santoro, he showed me some links for the YouTube channel and Instagram page. I didn't find any success stories. Just videos and pictures of some seminars. But later on, with 2nd call, I realised they were selling you educational material on how to find a business and deal-making techniques.
They claim they will find you a good business and secure funding. But first, you have to give us money. Then, you will be given some educational material to watch and access to a virtual assistant who will send emails to businesses from the company house, which they call lead generation. If they are ready to sell, then they will be able to negotiate. I told him to sign me on with a contract; once we find the business, you will be paid. But he was asking for money upfront. They may be doing some good stuff, but it seems to be a scam just to sell some worthless material.

Hi Tassaddua - we think there has been a mix up here....you are not on our database as an enquiry or as a customer and we do not have anyone called Santino or anything similar who has ever worked for us.

Neither do we offer the services you describe! For example the 'virtual assistant' and the whole approach you describe bears no relation to what we do.

We think you have confused us with another company.

Please feel free to get in contact if you want to discuss...however based on everything you have said this is not us.

Vacuous advice, exhorbitant pricing, and No Refunds policy. Clearly a scam.

I received a letter in the post regarding this and decided to do some research -- it appears to be a classic "Be Your Own Boss"-esque university course, which teach nothing you couldn't learn for free on YouTube. This has been confirmed by people who actually enrolled onto the course.

Mr. Jonathan Jay, the director of this outfit, has also written a book called "Business Buying Strategies". Needless to say, the reviews are poor; many people believe the book is a total waste of time and money.

So, with all that in mind, I don't recommend purchasing this course. I have posted this on multiple websites.

Hi Will- thanks for your review although we don't know who you are as you aren't a customer and you're not even an inquiry on our system - so I'm not sure how you could recommend or not recommend something if you have no personal experience of it.

I'm afraid you might get unstuck if you try to engage in a legal and financial process like business acquisition by watching videos on YouTube - we assume that you haven't bought a business yourself as advising people to rely on free advice from YouTube for a legal process is a little worrying.

The reviews of Jonathan's book, Business Buying Strategies, on Amazon, are 4 out of 5 stars across 142 reviews. You certainly can't please all the people, all the time. Even JK Rowling gets one-star reviews!

As someone not speaking from personal experience, I find it concerning that you seem to be on a mission, as you say you have posted reviews across multiple sites. We're not sure what your beef is!

Anyway, have a good day and let us know if you buy a business.
