I have been helped and assisted by an adviser by the name of Raheel who went above and beyond to resolve housing benefit issues I had been having which was seriously affecting my mental and physical health.

Firstly I want to thank Raheel for all of his efforts.

Secondly I ask people who engage with this service to realise that these advisers do this job out of a desire to help others so please have some empathy and understanding when you don't receive an arranged call on time or have difficulties getting through as you can guarantee that they are busy helping others.

Finally I would plead that the Government, council or whoever has the powers to ensure that this most valuable resource receives the funding it requires to keep going as without it, there shall be more of a burden on both the service users and the many various bodies it assist.

My adviser and case worker has been soo incredibly patient with me and at times offered to help extra , I suffer from mental health and it made everything longer and more confusing but Oliver helped and guided me through everything, I felt very well represented and trusted him completely,

I contacted Cab in March and my appointment was end of May, for help in understanding bills, an going on the voters list & I needed a fridge as my last one stopped working last year, I had an appointment with Oliver, it was really nice to work with Oliver he pays attention to details, I was trying to get on the private voters list for months, asking many other organisations for help with no luck, but Oliver read the small print and found me an email to contact which I did, and have been helped now to be on it.
Also I told him about my problems with not being able to afford a fridge, he applied to a charity’s for me and I was awarded help to buy a new fridge. I can’t thank you enough, I am so grateful for your help, we need more people like you in this world.
An to think that morning of our appointment I felt like cancelling due to my health issues.

I received the wrong bill from Water Thames and Citizen Advice helped me to resolve the issue

The expertise, the patience from the person who helped me with this case, Oliver, was very caring, helpful, experienced and vey understanding to all my worries, my mental health struggles, and given me a peace of mind every time I needed it. My experience was made great after I ended up with huge unplanned for, never owed Council Tax as I paid via Direct Debit. I was charged an hectic sum which I was unable to pay. They said that they review my CTax and realised that I was charged less that what I should normally be paying.
Well I got support by one of the Citizen Advice Advisers. She was very helpful and in depth with her query. Ms Nida Qadir supported me till the very end and guess what? Success came I was informed and agreed to pay by monthly instalments which was much better for my budget.

Oliver our contact at CAB was excellent, he was very knowledgeable and was very conscientious and patient.
