Ordered there portable oxygen machine…Beware

I purchased an oxygen concentrator that was advertised as being shipped from the U.S., but it actually came from overseas. I paid via PayPal on July 3rd and received no confirmation, tracking, or communication until I opened a PayPal dispute 10 days later. Only then did the seller provide a DHL tracking number that appeared to be newly generated. The item finally shipped with just one day left before PayPal’s deadline.
The unit worked for about three months with very light use—mainly when going out—before it stopped charging. I reached out for support through the company’s website chat and email but never received a response. When I tried contacting them on WhatsApp, they would reply days later, if at all. Communication was extremely poor throughout.
The company initially offered me two options: pay $198 plus a $25 tariff for expedited replacement shipping from China or choose the free service option. Since it was during the Christmas period and I didn’t mind waiting, I opted for the free service. I was required to send the defective unit first and provide tracking information, which I did.
A week later, after multiple follow-ups, they told me that because I had previously filed a PayPal complaint, I no longer qualified for free service—essentially changing their terms after the fact. Now they have my returned unit, and I have nothing.
When I asked how to get a replacement, they insisted I send $198 via bank transfer only—no credit card or PayPal. This immediately raised red flags for fraud, and my bank confirmed that such payment requests are typical signs of a scam.
In summary, I lost both my money and the product. The entire experience was frustrating, deceptive, and deeply disappointing.
