I have nothing but good things to say about Richard and his legal services.
For those of us that have no prior knowledge of the criminal justice system, it can be a very frightening experience to have to go through. At these times you need someone that you can trust and rely on; Richard Bayliss was that person for me.
From the very beginning, Richard was non-judgemental, professional and experienced in helping people through the criminal justice system. And perhaps just as important are Richard's interpersonal skills that really put you at your ease and the way that he explains sometimes very complex legal issues in a down-to-earth manner. His fees are also very reasonable and worth every penny.

Richard keeps in regular touch with you and will give you updates on your case, without you having to chase him. Importantly, when you are in court, Richard is able to guide you through the process and manages the things that you cannot control, yourself.

Richard took me when no one would. Some time 2023, I was desperately looking for a solicitor to help me as the initial duty solicitor did not seem interested enough. Firstly I would like to concur with all the previous reviewers comments, Richard is that good.
I started the case badly, without a solicitor present at my arrest interview. It got worse when I employed the duty solicitor at the first hearing at magistrates court, I would have been better off employing the prosecutor to defend me! Facing a bucket full of charges dealing with IIOC and people helpfully saying "Wow They've really thrown the book at you" I was determined to plead not guilty, having nothing to fear from the truth. I scanned the internet looking for a decent IIOC specialist solicitor, I found Richard and booked an online consult, he knows his stuff and I was greatly encouraged. Richard is both reassuring and realistic which was perfect for me. Richard was impressively assertive but also very respectful when we went to the preliminary court hearing. To cut a long story short, after much work on the defence, the CPS sent a letter saying they will not be offering any evidence at the Crown Court Trial. Acquitted!

I honestly don't know where to begin to say just how amazing Richard is!! If you are after a loyal, honest and reliable solicitor then I highly suggest you speak to Richard. A really diligent and professional solicitor. I only had brief interactions with Richard requesting his services for an upcoming court case I have. Unfortunately he was unavailable as he is representing someone else on this date. This is where you usually would think communication would cease. Richard however suggested another solicitor he knows of. After speaking to them and finding out they were also busy - he then suggested another! I haven't got representation yet but needless to say I am very grateful and impressed by Richard's communication style and the fact that he will go the extra yard - even if you are not a client of his. I think it says a lot about him as a person and a lot about the way he handles his actual cases. Very highly recommended!

My son unfortunately found himself having to use the services of Richard at the age of 18. Richard was kind and compassionate as well as honest. My son has Autism and we needed the consistency of one person dealing with his case as well as someone that would communicate with me as although over 18 his executive function and social, emotional age does not match his actual age. We engaged Richard when our Son was RUI and this really helped as Richard communicated with the Police and kept what could of been a very long process to Just under a year (These cases can take a few years on average, IIOC)

Richard would always answer my emails when I had questions. I felt very confident my son was in good hands in his care. My son always came out more confident about his case after speaking to Richard. Unfortunately, my son's case went to the Crown Court, Richard in-listed Claire as our barrister, this was 100% the best choice. Although the experience can't be considered pleasant, Richard was there for me at every turn. Making sure I understood and was prepared for any eventuality.
