Beware! This tailor firm might be in business…
This tailor firm might be in business since 1865 but I found the firm unreliable, misleading and lying.
I have made an appointment with the tailor to make Saville Road classical 2 pieces suit. I have been in touch with the firm by email and phone call. I dealt with person called Jonathan Hewitt who runs the face of the firm.
They confirmed the date and time of the appointment. The tailor knew I will be flying into L from Aus specifically to have the suit made by DS. They knew even before the appointment that I will be in L for 11 weeks and I was assured they can make the suit within that time. After I arrived at the appointed time and confirmed by entry in their computer I started selecting the fabric and then I was told by Jonathan they can’t do the suit during my time in L ( in spite of previously saying they can ) and I was told “we are sorry to waste your time”. They didn’t waste just my time but also the airfare and accommodation cost.
So for anybody who want to use services of DS whose reputation seems to be based more on past then present, my experience indicate an unreliable, misleading and lying tailor who doesn’t keeps his word. Beware!
