I placed a telephone order for 20 tonnes of Derbyshire limestone chippings to lay on my driveway on the day before the recent May Bank Holiday Monday and the delivery was made today, 8 May. The sales team were super polite, efficient and helpful and the driver was brilliant, negotiating his delivery lorry through a fairly narrow driveway entrance, directly off a busy road, during the morning rush hour!
I really could not have had a better experience from the team at Derbyshire Aggregates and I will be placing a further order with them, just as soon as I have finished laying 20 tonnes of chippings

Wish i had read the reviews before i used this company. I phoned up and they tried to over charged me then i said but i paid about 40% less last time 2 months ago she then put me on hold without let me know and came back to say oh yes the price is now £720 instead of the £1100...i ask why then so and the reply was i should order online... i then put her on the spot and got the phone put down on me.... How rude....!!! AVOID....!!!!!

Terrible. Driver barely spoke English, refused to deliver due to some trees being in the way and said he would attempt with a smaller vehicle. I’ve had to pay £40 for re delivery because of something the driver refused to deliver. Customer services less than helpful and actually very rude. I would 100% never purchase from here again.

I ordered 2 pallets of 50 bags of gravel. I only received 49 bags on each pallet. Sent photos showing 7 rows of 7 bags packed on the pallet but they refused to refund for the missing bags. Do not use this company.

I have been using Derbyshire aggregates for some years now. Always had great service and great products from them.

2nd order - no change to dreadful delivery service. Booked for a specific day - assured by email that it was out for scheduled delivery…
Nothing - no follow up, no call to explain, nothing at all
18months later, the delivery experience is exactly the same - poor to awful

Cannot fault at all! Ordered Monday afternoon for a Wednesday delivery and arrived by 1pm.
My 1st ever order from them 100% I will be using in the future

Unbelievable customer service, not helpful at all. I ordered too much so had to send back two bags, they charged over £42.00 per bag to be collected. They didn't collect when they said for days and i had to chase up. Over 5 weeks later I've still not had my refund from the bags collected and had to ring them. Didn't even offer any extra refund as an apology. If you request refund please check they have refunded you. I'll not use again.

As with most other reviews our order simply did not arrive. It is virtually impossible to reach them by telephone (always engaged or rings off) and they didn't respond to emails. We are left having to try and claim back the money through Paypal. We would strongly advise against using this company.

Missed delivery date even though product is shown as dispatched. No reply to multiple e-mails and calls. Phone number is constantly engaged or rings out. Poor communication with customers that they have already charged for products they have not received. Poor. Looks like I will have to contact my bank for a chargeback. DA1070484

Absolutely abysmal customer service. Order not received, tried calling and the phone line is either busy or when it does ring the call is hung up on. Wish I had read the reviews on here before we ordered with Decorative Aggregates. Looks like we are in for a a recall with the credit card company. So frustrating that companies like this are allowed to trade. Even more annoying that we were duped with their slogan "buy online with confidence".
EDIT: I spoke to Nia who sounds amazingly helpful - she assured me the delivery would be made by the end of the day. However as we got to the end of the day I called again and was assured that deliveries are made up to 6pm. However she would check with the delivery company and come back to me. This she did, and advised that the order would not be delivered until tomorrow. She assured me that the delivery would be an am delivery and she would call me at 9.30 am to confirm. I asked for absolute certainty as having spent one day off work, I stated that I did not want to take any more time off unnecessarily and was assured that the delivery would be received by 12 noon.
12 noon and no delivery received - and low and behold the phone lines are not answered or my call is back to being picked up and hung up on. I was so hoping to change this review to a better rating. Cannot express how disappointing dealing with this company is. If only they were forthright and honest, disgusting company with absolutely no integrity.
EDIT NO. 2: Spoke with another lady who said she would call the haulage company whilst I was on hold. I was on hold and then low and behold my call was disconnected. Now the phone line just calls out with no answer.

Have ordered 850kg if slate twice and ok n both occasions the delivery has turned up on the day and deposited exactly where we asked. Would highly recommend this company. The driver that I met on the first occasion was very friendly and accommodating. I didn’t meet the second delivery driver as he delivered early and I was in bed. He was so quiet we didn’t even know he’d been. Well done!

Ordered a ton of slate on Saturday 22nd August to be delivered the following Wednesday 26th. Rang on the afternoon of the 26th to be told it was out for delivery that day. It didn't arrive! Chased on 27th to be told that the courier couldn't deliver to our house as he couldn't get us yet we have artic lorries, static caravans and have two yacht clubs with big boats come down our road to be then told he tried to deliver to a yacht club! They have now confirmed it will be delivered on Friday 28th. Here's hoping they sort their distribution out and get their facts straight before they ruin their little reputation!

Looked through various sites for stone chippings and Derbyshire Aggregates came up. With Covid 19 being a problem with some companies I used the web site and ordered a bulk bag of my particular item. It was in stock order was placed and was given a future date of 28th May. Time unfortunately could not be given. Which is no problem we where ok with that. The day arrived and we had notification that order was loaded and ready to deliver. The driver turned up we where pleased to see him and he as a pleasant chap to talk to. Sorry I didn’t get his name but I contacted company to pass on my 5star plus for the driver. We offered a cuppa tea but he declined although I am sure the answer would of been yes but for restrictions. Delivery made and a friendly wave as he drove off.

I would recommend Derbyshire Aggregates for your aggregate needs. Fast and efficient.

Terrible service received. Placed an order with this company and was given a order date for Monday 4th May.2020. When the order arrived it was incorrect.Okay these things happen.I was given a new order date for Thursday the 7th for which I waited in for only to receive a call from the courier company at 15.30 to say my delivery wouldn't be arriving until Tuesday 12th May.
Very poor service guys, Only a token sorry from the office staff I got the impression they weren't overly bothered by the whole matter.
A refund was requested.

a shocking experience, failed to deliver, said they had attended then tried to charge me £25 to redeliver or alternatively £40 odd pounds to cancel the order! would not recommend, customer service is shocking

I ordered a delivery of simple gravel on Monday with a promised delivery date of Friday. On Friday I was sent an email (went to my spam folder because it was not properly addressed) telling me that they were not able to deliver the item due to the transport company. I called on the following Tuesday - no apology - they said the delivery would be within 1.5 hrs. No delivery received - 3hrs later. No call back and no answer on the phone.
