The tow bar was fitted quickly and at a cheaper price than other quotes we received. We’ve since used the tow bar for a bike carrier and it worked perfectly. We would recommend Derby Towbars.

Despite the delay in being able to source the correct towbar, Derby Towbars kept me informed all the time and went out of their way to make sure that they met their promises. When it came to the day of fitting, they were excellent, they arrived punctually and worked diligently leaving everything clean and tidy. They spent the time to show me it all worked and then how to use it myself. I would 100% recommend them to anyone needing a towbar.

Amazing service, quality job

This excellent review is based on Brian not fitting me a tow bar but on his advice and integrity instead. I contacted Brian to find out how much it would cost to have a tow bar fitted to a car I was buying. The car dealer (extremely reputable) had advised that all models of the car I had been looking at, could tow. Brian asked me for proof of the towing weight. The dealer sent me a photo of the weight plate and I forwarded this to Brian. To my horror Brian advised straightaway that the model I was buying was not type approved to tow. Owing to this he said he would not fit me a tow bar even though there are some manufacturers who make one for the model and I only wanted to use it for a bike rack. I also contacted my insurance company who would not cover me for a tow bar for a car not type approved to tow. I contacted the dealer. The staff still thought it could tow and have a tow bar fitted until I advised what Brian had said and they contacted their parts department. Thankfully, I managed to get my deposit back for the vehicle. Thanks to Brian, I dodged a bullet!

Brian was friendly and professional. He fitted me in very quickly and one of the few tow bar companies that bothered to respond.

Arrived on time, checked the car for scratches and took the time to talk through the job in detail. Undertook a full check on the electrics with me at the end. I have been using the tow bar for the past few weeks without any issues. Did a great job.
