The repair man that came literally did nothing but use a screwdriver to pry open my washing machine and charged me $95.00 which is something that I could have done myself. I am very unsatisfied with this service and would recommend that everyone try someone else and save your money and time for those who actually want to help.

I was hesitant about calling Derek Appliance for a repair quote, but they had great ratings per my Perplexity inquiry. I called them about a repair for a 7 year old GE stacked laundry center with no heat in the dryer. Derek Appliance set up an appointment for the next afternoon, but called an hour later to let me know a technician was free and could come in about 45 minutes if that suited us.

John arrived and was very knowledgeable and, besides taking the unit apart, removing the drum and fixing the problem, he took extra long term maintenance steps to flip two felt pads that were worn, vacuumed the blower, and checked for any other common defect he finds with this model. I was very happy with his work.

I expected the cost would have been higher and had already started looking at buying a new unit. This repair came in at a tenth the cost for a new one, so it was definitely worth fixing.
